Re: Is anyone else completely in love with the Dragonfly?

I love the Dragonfly. It was my first Spyderco actually. The PE H1 Salt version. I still carry this one on my swim trunks/board shorts at the pool and beach. It is also incredible for deveining shrimp! I just added the Hawkbill to my collection last night. I think it is an awesome platform for a var...

Re: Everyone Sleeping on this Exclusive???

For me it's the smooth G10, comp lock, and uncoated liners. I like the Micarta version and can live with the comp lock for that one, but it's probably my least favorite lock. I'd buy another Micarta or two in something like AEB-L, CPM-3V, K390, or CPM-MagnaCut. G10 Shamans will always be a pass for ...

Here's my only fixed blade Wharnie. It's an LT Wright with AEB-L and Natural Micarta with copper pins.

Re: Which one will dominate?

I mean assuming it costs the same or less than S45VN or SPY27, I'd like to hear what if any advantage either of these two steels would have over CPM-MagnaCut? It sounds like it would outclass nearly all stainless steels in all categories aside from a rare few? Maybe you would choose S110V if you nee...

Re: Might there be an AEB-L mule someday?

Hi SC,- Those are nice looking pieces. Let us know how you like them? Did you get any of the AEB-L Urban's? sal Thanks Sal, once they get here and I get to put them through the paces I will provide some feedback. I didn't get the Urban as I am not a fan of slippies. But put some AEB-L in any of the...

Re: Talking about your traditional knives

I have never owned a GEC but I really am fond of the recently released Crown Lifter and last year's Oil Field Jack (Micarta or Bone with wrench inlay). If anyone knows of a good place to get one of these at cost please let me know. I would love to try my first GEC without paying the crazy markups. I...

Re: What "Other" is in your pocket???

The CPKs are pretty thick, but have a slicey geometry, but can also take a good deal of abuse. Best of both worlds. The fit and finish of my CPKs are all perfect where every BRK I've had has been less than stellar. I noticed Carothers follows Larrin on IG and seems excited about the new steel :cool...

Re: Which spyderco is in the mail?

All of the reported QC issues with the Cruwear Dragonfly made up my mind to pass on that one (plus I really hate smooth CF anyways so it was more about getting a blacked out Cruwear Dfly), so I went a little overboard on DLT instead grabbing a few small ones that have been on my list for a long time...

Re: "If you could only keep 5" Countdown

Man, this is tough because they are not necessarily the 5 I carry or use the most, but I would pick based on serving 5 different needs, then go from there. I've also already done this twice in my Spyderco journey selling off two-thirds or three quarters of my collection leaving me with only a few kn...

Larrin... Did you make T-Shirts yet? You have plenty of graphics now.
I would only make t-shirts if people wanted them

Screen print this onto some nice soft 50/50 Poly Cotton tees and I would rock it!! I love this ad. It is amazing! Nice work!!

He is also about to launch a basic line of knives that will be sold on Amazon. I believe the first two are going to be a 5" Field Knife and a 7" Super Duty Field Knife. Then he will sell a "signature version" of the SDFK on BF as well. There is also a Kephart in the works along with a bunch of othe...

20210325_202308_copy_1651x1238.jpg I like to have a pair of scissors on me, they come in handy almost every day. Plus I use the toothpick quite often... ;) I agree! I love the scissors on the classics and ramblers! I have them on all my keychains and scattered throughout the house and vehicles.

Re: Might there be an AEB-L mule someday?

I personally don't care much about the mules, but AEB-L is one I REALLY want to see in some production folders. I honestly think there would be a lot of interest in it if you pair it with Micarta. It is used extensively in the fixed blade world. OD Green Micarta paired with AEB-L would be an easy se...

Nathan has sales at noon every two weeks on Fridays in the Custom Knifemakere for sale section. Next sale should be Friday April 2. He is also about t...
