Should I go for it?

There is an Endura G2 on a swedish auction site. It's not mint but close to. The price is up at $ 20 right now but I expect it to rise. What do you say guys, should I go for it or drop it? Furthermore, how good/bad is the G2 blade steel?

1. Endura or Delica, whichever (a must have. Classics!)
2. A small, flat ground: Callypso Jr, Lum or UK pen knife
3. A large, flat ground: Military, Manix, Lil' Temperance

P.S. I'd like to suggest to start with the PE versions!

Well, received the knife today. I say, this is a charming little fella! The lockup is excellent, the knife displays no marks or scratches, the blade is centered and the tip is precise and pointy. The OL condition is great. One could assume this knife was new! The auction: http://www.tradera.com/auct...

The condition is OK i guess. It's not NIB but the knife is only sligthly used and has never been sharpened.

Is this a genuine Spydie?

I've come across this knife on a Swedish auction site. My Q: Is this a genuine Spyderco or a fake? The guy wants $7 for it.

I would not recommend this procedure as there is a great risk that you will ruin the HT. You'd have to go really slowly and use a diamond drill (?). OTOH, an Opinel is the knife to practise drilling on.

If you decide to pull it of, let us know how it went.

Thank You Sal

for the answer. I can see your point regarding the safety issue. I guess, the only solution would be hollow rods with a retractable safety guard ;)

Wow Alex, that's an old post of mine! Don't even recall writing it :) Still think it's a good idea though. The regular 204 for travel and outdoor and another sharpmaker for the home, sporting longer rods (for kitchen knives).

Now come on guys, did you really think I'd waste my funds on something like this?!? I saw this "knife" on a swedish E-bay site and thought it would be subject for a good laugh. Here's the link: http://www.tradera.com/auction/Knivar/aid_7434663 ~Paul~ Spyderco Collectors Club Member #57 Edi...
