Re: Rivers Edge Cutlery Mystery Exclusive (DLC 10V/Coyote Brown G10 Paramilitary 2)

You know I like the way they are doing the sale of this model with a PRESALE jut under 2 weeks out of them receiving the knives and think it is great they are doing this in DLC and Satin.

Most folks preorders are like okay order and ugh yeah we have no idea when but you will eventually get one.

Re: Rex 45 vs K390?

All I can say is I left a police 4 on the counter to air dry after washing it with soap and water and wiping it with a clean cloth not 100% dry and the whole blade was coated in red rust dots all over the place. I listened to my local water control district authority and he said the water was too ac...

Re: Rivers Edge Cutlery Mystery Exclusive (DLC 10V/Coyote Brown G10 Paramilitary 2)

How is this too close to the s35vn model?, it's cpm10v!! Or is everyone just buying these just on color now? Well hope they ordered enough to satisfy buying pressure otherwise I will take another seller off of my buying list. You gonna be jumping on this? Who HAS made enough for you ? Hype models a...

Re: Will trade for new Spyderco...

Ha!!! Just use leaves!!!! :D Honestly though, I am taking this seriously. I have a young child as well as older relatives. I worry about my parents. That said, I don’t believe in panicking at all. It doesn’t do any good. There is nothing to fear but fear itself. I also think laughter is a good way ...

Re: OKCA Show Announcement

Hey Taz,

Good Job Spyderco!

Shows are great and all that and I am sorry for people loosing such great entertainment this year but honestly I will keep buying even if their was never another show, so thanks for being part of the solution and not exacerbating the problem!

Re: I don’t always carry a Back Lock...

While I will take a back lock over a comp lock I prefer the stop lock over either and wish it would make it's way into more models. While it is not the best for one handed closing it excels in many ways.

Love a combo blade, the practicality of the serrations placement can not be missed.

Re: Cutlery Shoppe rex45 two-tone para3

BBS does better than most anyone but that has allot to do with the way they do business some really hate it but I have purchased from them several times and was really glad I could get a Stretch 1 off of them when everyone else was sold out, so it is pretty cool to be able to get discontinued knives...

So sad to hear, yet another short order batch. Glad I did not like it. Have now dropped them as a source for buying. Voting against short ordering retailers in ugly or not! There was a 2 hour window - it's not like it sold out in minutes Surprised you're not blaming Spyderco for allowing such a sma...

Excited to put this to work! DMT Diasharp diamond stone. Extra Coarse and Coarse grits. I'm going to break it in on some dull kitchen knives first.

Re: What was the most recent exclusive Military?

No comp lock for me either.

A new model of military with the stop lock just like on the Parata I own would be a very powerful lock and compliment the design with distinction.

Re: Manix2 LW compared to G10?

I really wish they'd redo the scales with a softer shoulder around the edges, it really needs more bevel. I did some extended work with the S110V LW and even with gloves on I got major hot spots and a couple blisters. https://forum.spyderco.com/viewtopic.php?p=1040847#p1040847 Strength wise I think...

Re: Manix2 LW compared to G10?

You can do a blade swap if you want. Honestly, though, I love the "stealth sportscar" feel of the Manix LW. It's like driving a Mini Cooper with 300 horsepower. Not at the cost of creating a late lock up, a few posts up from here Wartstein addresses that, otherwise I was going in that dir...

Re: Manix2 LW compared to G10?

Watching thread closely, I have a smooth scale manix in Cruwear not a fan of smooth scales. Purchased for model and steel.

I am very surprised Spyderco did not put Maxamet in a G-10 Manix2.

Any plans to do this Sal?

https://youtu.be/a6ibhLbDH1c As he explains this is a more simple method. Spine to edge edge to spine. Does not really get more simple than that. Not trying to be a jerk but when both hands are involved the brain kicks in and helps. Tonight by mistake I caught myself moving my left hand the one hold...
