Dog tag decision?
I'm considering a dog tag and would love feedback on the differences and opinions of carbon fiber/g10 vs the titanium models. Appreciate any thoughts and input.

Re: Opinel question
I love my #8 in carbon steel. Super easy to sharpen. I did the trick I learned of "acid treating" it with an onion. When I got it new I pushed the blade into a large onion for 24 hours and left it. It came out with an interesting ring pattern and darkened. And this has been protective of t...

Re: Boss tipped my domino
First off, I'm sorry this happened to you. I've "tipped" some myself and been through the same thing. My brother in law once borrowed a knife and 5 minutes later I wondered if he had tried to cut through a brick wall it looked so rough. I've started carrying a spare SAK classic so that whe...

Re: .22LR rifle recommendations?
For a little bit different option, I would recommend a Browning SA22 or if you could find one of the Norinco clones of it. They are beautiful little guns and a joy to carry. They also takedown into 2 pieces for travel. Just a thought.

Re: Spyderco EDC You Just Can't Go Wrong With
Definitely different for each of us depending on job, clothing styles, etc. But the one Spydie I have carried in everything from swim trunks to a business suit and everything in between has been my trusty PE Delica.

Love my SE cricket. Never had the PE but the SE handles like a much larger knife. Love the ruggedness of the SE.

Nitecore Tube - been toting one for 2 weeks. Simple push button operation for low (1 lumen) and double tap for high (45 lumens) and weighs nothing. The big thing I love is that it is USB rechargeable so no more button cell buying. http://i1262.photobucket.com/albums/ii620/RevCov/1-1_20141011012137_z...

Re: Pocket Pistols
I've gone through my share from the NAA minis to a couple of keltecs and even a Kahr pocket 45 (!). Finally settled in on a Beretta 21a in 22 LR. It was the comfort of the grip that made the difference.
Re: Gout?
You have my prayers and sympathy! My attacks started in college and I had never heard of Gout at that point. It is the worst pain I have ever experienced. Mine always came/comes in the knuckles of my toes. I've had allopurinol prescribed before. Also if on a trip or not accessible to a doctor I've t...
Re: New knife
It is a steel handle that is folded. I am amazed how light and flat it is and have really enjoyed carrying it. My everyday spydie is a SE cricket.
New knife
I was active here a long while ago and have recently found my way back. Life runs in circles at times. I wanted to share a recent new non-spydie knife I received as a gift. My first Douk Douk. Here is a pic (attached). I love the slimness for this length blade. I wear mainly suits and slacks and thi...
