You will need diamond abrasive with soft support. Diamond stones or plates don’t work according to Roman (of kknives_switzerland who was part of the development and testing of the material).
So like a strop with diamond paste?

Does the manufacturer make any suggestions on how to sharpen?

Schempp Bowie back in stock at SFO

Just thought I'd let you good folks know. Just grabbed one. I've been waiting a long time. Almost bought one on eBay. Glad I waited!

Thanks for the heads-up that they’re still available! :) Kind of funny to think several are up on eBay and folks have bids on at least one of them at $128.50.
Sometimes think that must be flippers bidding on their own stuff to drive demand.

Re: Spyder Classics: The C-58 JD Smith model

One random ? about the JD Smith. Was it made by Moki? Looking at the stamping on mine it appears more similar to the other Moki made Spydercos I have (as opposed to the Sakai models). Would that have any affect on a possible re-release?

Re: Spyder Classics: The C-58 JD Smith model

I actually just picked one of the green sprints of this knife on Ebay. The price was surprisingly reasonable (nib and slightly less than originally MSRP), especially considering the insane prices some models command on Ebay. This is a beautiful knife and I can't wait to get my hands on it. Should b...

Re: Dreaming of a LIGHT Tenacious lightweight, constructed like a Millie...

I'm all for a single partial liner Tenacious. I love truly lightweight FRN designs - why my Goddard LW is my favorite EDC. It would be great to have an alternative that I didn't have to worry about losing all the time.

Re: Spyderco Worker 2?

I'd love to see an FRN worker added to the K390 lineup. Hopefully linerless FRN as I don't think liners are needed in a knife this size. That would also solve the G10-from-Seki-expense issue. Fingers crossed!

Re: Which spyderco is in the mail?

Been on a bit of a knife buying bender this week. I have an Endura purple VG10, a JD Smith sprint, and a ZDP Caly Jr (all from eBay) as well as a Jester heading my way. Gonna be a great mail week coming up!

I’ve been checking every day to see when these are going to be available through the SFO online. A little frustrating see it show up all over the place with a “Coming Soon” still on the Spyderco website. Can’t wait to get my hands on one of these. I love my SSS sprint.

Re: Affording the Necessary Stones for Super Steels

Try one of these out https://www.harborfreight.com/4-sided-diamond-hone-block-92867.html I've used a lot of higher end stones but I love this one. I consistently get shaving sharpness off the 200 grit and it's an amazing slicer with that coarse of an edge. I have one of these. It’s an amazing stone...

Re: Para3 LW lockbar tension

I have the same issue with my P3LW Spy27, noticed after few month (rarely carried, mostly just fidgeted). Though it doesnt bother me yet. Will bend a spring someday (w&r is not an reasonable option overseas). Update: I have remembered a common method, how to deal with a backlock spring which is...
