Re: Knifejoy Exclusive...Slysz Bowie??!!
But the fact remains, the Bowie continues to sell out 2 runs into its KJ iteration, which many people would deem inferior to the OG version. How much more if an OG Bowie with the new improvements would be in demand among afis everywhere. I just don't get the reason that it didn't sell as good as it ...

Re: Knifejoy Exclusive...Slysz Bowie??!!
Still doesn't explain why Spyderco doesn't do another run of the original, especially with the updated hardware. 2 runs of the KJ exclusive and it sold out fast, what proof does the company need more? People in this forum and all over social media have been asking for YEARS already to bring back the...

Re: Which spyderco is in the mail?
Acquired a lightly used Schempp Rock from a fellow afi. It arrived today and I put it to work right away. schempp_rock_02.jpg Is this from Derek's? Yes. Great catch. I was actually eyeing this one for many years now but never managed to get onto buying it. Great price too...last time I checked he w...

Re: Upping the price.
We changed MAP because we need dealers and dealers need MAP if they want to bother to carry our products. Spyderco cuts a large swath in the cutlery world, a very well-respected brand, and I'd think dealers would be happy to carry Spyderco given its customer base. Are lots of dealers threatening to...

Re: MicroJimbo?
I really appreciated how Mike listened to user feedback when designing the MicroJimbo. Not many knife designers are willing to redesign their concepts based on customer complaints and suggestions as it might be a slight to their ego. Thanks for explaining the shift to FFG and deep carry clip, and th...

You should post on the Facebook group "Millie, PM2 Para 3 Club". The CEO of SMKW often replies to SMKW concerns there.

Re: Knifejoy Exclusive...Slysz Bowie??!!
The demand for the original Bowie is such that I've seen many folks remove the blue anodizing on their KJ Bowies to make it look more like the original. I wonder what's keeping Spyderco from re-releasing the original Bowie.

A Gayle Bradley 2 in Cruwear!
Just saw in BHQ's Instagram post. Can't post pics because my image hosting's down. Wow! Cruwear and that sweet hollow grind. I just hope they fix the stupid detent and the lockstick issues.

Re: BladeHQ Exclusive Yojumbo M-4
That's a really good price for a hunk of almost 4 inches of M-4 steel and DLC, considering inflation nowadays.

Re: Bodacious Discussion
It's cool to see Spyderco trying out more choil-less designs, but it's a bit disappointing to not see more knives getting the contoured handle like the shaman. I don't mind a slab handle on cheaper models, but if I'm spending as much as a shaman, I'm going to be comparing the handle to it. IMHO I d...

Re: Venting about Tanto PM2.. again.
The retailers also have their spreadsheets, and some are larger businesses than others and can place larger orders. BHQ's M4 exclusives always seem to drop in large numbers, so if they are ordering fewer tanto PM2 exclusives I suspect there is a spreadsheet entry somewhere that justifies it. Or, QC...

Re: Venting about Tanto PM2.. again.
I'm thankful that I've already got the Tantos I need (s30v satin, M-4 DLC), but I do agree that limiting blade shapes to certain dealers isn't one of Spyderco's better business decisions, from the consumer standpoint. Especially if BHQ stands by its M-4 exclusivity. I'd really love the Tanto to be m...

How to make the Byrd Tern less stiff in closing?
My Byrd Tern that I got from the Seconds sale is so stiff in closing...as in, it requires the use of two hands to safely close the blade. Is it normal or is it because it's a Seconds? And any ideas on how to smoothen out and break it in so it can be closed with one hand?

Re: FOMO
Really really wanted an ambidextrous Catcherman all these years, but it's not meant to be. I guess that, and the lack of significant chamfering on the Bod, kinda dampened the FOMO in me a wee bit.
I'm still in for that MC P3 LW though!

I think MSRP is about $350 for the satin version.

Re: Bodacious Discussion
I hope I'm allowed to repeat my sentiments here, but I'm in the camp that wishes Spyderco would implement Seki-style G-10 chamfering on their Golden models (if you have ever handled most Seki G-10s, you'd get it), and this knife is no exception. I have no problems operating the comp lock on all my S...
