As I mentioned near the end of my post, I feel like it's probably more about it being not as good as the other knives I have from Spyderco. Good sized FFG blades in a leaf shape are too ideal for most cutting tasks.

Techno Impressions

Hi all, I have a small Spyderco collection which is growing day by day and today's addition is certainly going to stay around. The Techno has been talked about a bit, so I won't go crazy with details, but a few things surprised me even after reading so much before purchasing this great little knife....

I just got my Sharpmaker in yesterday and I am really happy with how quickly and easily it sharpened my VG-10 and S30V knives. Quick, takes zero skill, and the results for my very first time using it were impressive. The ease of use and portability of the kit alone make it a must-own.

I wouldn't say I found them ugly, but the tactical looking knives always stood out to me more as well. Spyderco knives are so addictive though, I'm at three now and will probably at 7 by year's end. The ergonomics and heat treats are really well done and its hard to get around that.
