I really think the choil is a back burner grip option on this knife. When do you actually use a choil on a big nasty knife like this? You're gonna spend most of your time white knuckle gripping the crap out of it with a full fist grip. This is one folder I'd just assume didn't have the choil at all.

Technically, over a long enough time an edge will naturally get dull just from oxidation.

Come to think of it...i wonder how H1 reacts to that since it doesn't rust? Hmmm.....

I'd say you slightly changed the angle of your cut. This makes a world of difference when cutting paper especially if you don't have a very thin edge. My Vallotton will only push cut if i have the angle just right, if not it starts ripping. Get the angle right and it sails through phone book paper.

Sal, all i want for Christmas is a ZDP/wharnie Manbug. You can make the scales whatever material and color you choose, i just need a ZDP wharnie in the worst way.

I might be the minority here, but i really liked the barrel screw clips. They were one of the defining characteristics that drew me into the brand (first Spydie was a Native).

When I first heard of the "Manbug" I thought it was kind of goofy. Once again I'm 180° out. :) It is a PERFECT keychain knife IMO. It is strong enough to be useful and small. Maybe I didn't give my Ladybug a chance but I never got attached to it like I have the Manbug. I have the FRN and ...

Yeah it cuts great, it cut through my 20CP like nobody's business but it just doesn't last, it's made really porous to make it cut as aggressively as it does and it clogs up so easy, i had to rinse it out about once a minute.

Both of my Native S30V's are riveted. I'm actually on here specifically to find out how to take them apart. One is binding pretty bad and I want to clean and lube the pivot. Sounds like I'm stuck with it as-is. Has anyone removed these rivets and replaced with torx...? Just send it back in to Golde...

I can't give advice, but i will say this...the first time you really have to put some major reprofiling work into a blade, the standard EP 120 stone is going to dip like the grand canyon on you. I just did my Vallotton recently, and it took quite a bit of work to get the tip profiled, and it basical...

Yeah you'll have that with back locks. For me all the better things about the Caly are defeated by the compression lock. I do love the wire clips though and the Caly is a far better slicer. Ergonomics are pretty similar but that'll probably come down to the individual and their hand size. The origin...

Well, i'm pretty sure the Caly 3.5 and the para 2 are nearly the same size, at least blade wise. The Caly 3 has about 1/2 inch less blade, but is nowhere near as stout as a Para 2, depending on how important that is to you. I own a Caly 3 ZDP, but if it came down to that knife over my 20CP Para 2, i...

You'll hear varying opinions on how lefty friendly it is. By comparison though, the back lock is completely ambidextrous so it's a hard argument to make.

Yeah that would make for a slick knife, but then the lefty/pro back lock crowd would throw a giant fit over the lock if you changed the Caly 3.5. For what it's worth, performance wise the Para 2 is **** near unmatched as far as i'm concerned. Also, the straight spine will grow on ya.

The only titanium I've ever had is the bolsters on my Sage4. It shows scratches so easily. It's ok on this knife because it's a user that goes through whatever comes. I'm a little concerned abou the ti on the new Chaparral. I'm not sure I will want that one to start looking like my Sage4 is. What I...

I made a post years ago about interest in premium versions of the Ladybug...i didn't get much interest. I'd be all over sprint steel runs for these little knives, and a Ti/ZDP version would just be badass.

Welcome to the forum, I also started out with the WM Native. I think there needs to be another knife along those lines to open more people's eyes to the brand. There's a lot of good people and good knowledge here.

I prefer Beethoven's solo piano work over the orchestra stuff. Of course, Moonlight Sonata is a favorite.
