I just picked up one of these for cheap, but have no idea what to expect quality wise. Hopefully it'll turn out well.

The Tuff gets much more interesting IMO with this blade steel. I completely agree. I feel that this is the first newly announced Spydie that I have to get. I already love their M4 for it's exceptional wear resistance and solid toughness, so I'm very curious about 3V if it's almost as much wear resi...

Sage 1 was my first Spyderco, too. What a great EDC knife, it really changed my knife preferences. Congrats!

Add a drop of Rem-Oil or similar lube and just keep opening and closing it until it becomes smoother.

It won't, if anything it will wear faster. Sal has posted many times that the ti Millie is no tougher or stronger than the regular version.

Where the RIL has several advantages over the traditional liner lock, the same does not hold true for the Compression lock (current version vs. frame lock version). Not sure what we gaining but increased cost. It does look nice, however. :) Very nice rendering, but this is how I feel. Why not keep ...

I set the bevel to 30* and microbevel at 40* using the Sharpmaker. Most Spyderco knives seem to leave the factory at 30* or less, and a 40* microbevel makes touching up an edge very easy. Also seems to keep everything tough while still slicing well.

I'm interested in the SS Balance, lightweight Manix, Des Horn, Ayoob redux, and the H1 Dragonfly (as long as it can be had serrated). I really wish the Manix would've came out clear, but it still looks nice. And that SS Balance looks like a perfect watch pocket blade. I also like the Squeak and Lum ...

Completely agree. The choil and toughness of the design/M4 are some of my favorite things about the current Bradley.

Pretty sure it was before late December for the pre-orders. I believe KC had the 20CP preorder up when the S90V preorder was put up. Could be wrong, but I believe I remember it that way. It's been a fair while.

Mike Snody also has made some fixed blades out of the stuff. I've never had one, but heard they are great for holding an edge. I had one of his shanks in 10V. Very well made knife, and heat treated by Bos, too. While I'm sure that it will hold an edge forever, it seemed like the wrong design for th...

Sage gets my vote. Screw construction, no 420J laminate blade that picks up every scratch, and more comfortable in hand.

Black screws would be pretty tough to do effectively. The coating would likely wear off as a result of the torx driver, and it would not look very nice. I have used anodized aluminum and titanium fasteners and even the anodization will not hold up very well on screw heads (particularly in the torx ...

Just use very light pressure and get in the habit of paying attention to not dragging the tip off and keeping everything vertical. Should work wonders.

Good to see everybody showing love for the .22! There's a lot of nice guns in this thread.

Is that one of the Accu-trigger Savages? I've always heard good stuff about that.

Any .22 Fans?

I really enjoy shooting, and have been finding that my .22lr is quickly becoming one of my favorite guns. Can't hunt deer with a rifle down here in Ohio, and I all do is hunt small game and target shoot. I recently snagged a used Marlin 60 that needed some work done for it. I took everything apart, ...
