Same here. I handled the original, and did not particularly like the wide blade with upswept belly. The whole design left me a bit underwhelmed to be honest, even though the execution and materials were nice. Different strokes for different folks.

Alox Bantam... This is my dad's favourite knife over the last 2+ decades, because it fits inside his coin pocket. Old skool pants used to have that hidden coin pocket inside/under the waistband.

My main criteria for a coating is durability, and DLC shines in this regard. If the new coatings are less durable than DLC, I'll probably steer clear.
