Re: Slysz Bowie!
Woah, more expensive than the K2? Yow. I knew it weren't gonna be cheap, but dang. Sad thing is, I really wanted both this and the K2. I'm also getting more and more into customs...****. These two knives have been the first production folders to really spark my excitement in quite a bit, but $530-5...

Re: Comparable Brands
Guys, when I said that I consider VG-10 trash, I thought it was obvious I meant a trash steel. I don't think VG-10 is trash in the sense that it literally is trash, I consider it trash in the context of different steels used in knives. Maybe I should have used a different word, but I thought on a kn...

Re: Comparable Brands
I remember back when VG-10 was the best steel I had, and I considered it good. Now I consider it trash. Soon you'll see what I'm talking about. Just wait a few months VG10 is trash? I am not going to entertain such an absurd statement with any more words than this. It is one of the most well rounde...

Re: Comparable Brands
Call me a steel snob, but I have long since graduated, if you will, from using VG-10. I now have access to steels like S125V, S110V, and K390, so excuse me for considering VG-10 trash. Again, just my viewpoint, doesn't have to be yours. I too consider myself a steel snob, however I always try to ex...

Re: Comparable Brands
Alright, I'm cool now. Sorry if I offended anyone with my negativity, my overall goal here is not to do that so I apologize. I was a little incredulous that my view of VG-10 would offend people, and there is no way I will ever apologize for that. Call me a steel snob, but I have long since graduated...

Thanks man! Normally I don't check there for current models, but if I can scrounge up the cash I'll be ordering from there. Man you saved me about $30, I was almost gonna pull the trigger on HowesMacLaren wrote:$223@CS

Re: Lum Tanto Fixed Blade Green/Black G-10 FB03GBKGRP
I agree, and fully understand that the price of knives is definitely not always reflected by their materials. However, a Southfork can be had for less money. I find that a bit absurd, no?

Re: Simple new guy question
I'm absolutely not upset. As I said earlier, I simply thought that what I said would make you realize you could easily figure it out by yourself, but by then I wasn't aware you had to go get the tool itself from the mechanic in which case I completly understand your question. Sorry about my writtin...

Re: The future of the Gayle Bradley Air
The only thing that kept me from buying one is the steel since I live 8 blocks from the Pacific. Strange steel choice, IMO, for a knife that's supposed to be in your pocket all the time. Beautiful lines, though. M4 isn't supposed to be in your pocket?   Salt air + swe...

Re: I wish the Endura was US made.
I could absolutely care less where a knife is made, that has zero part in determining if I buy it. I mean, Taichung makes the highest quality Spydercos at the moment, so it always intrigues me that some people still want to buy a knife made in 'Murica at all costs even disregarding other knives beca...
