I don't think VG-10 is trash in the sense that it literally is trash, I consider it trash in the context of different steels used in knives. I agree, and fully understand that the price of knives is definitely not always reflected by their materials. However, a Southfork can be had for less money. I find that a bit absurd, no?

For what you've described, perfect knife. Super thin as well, easy to maintain with strop. Plus Superblue

The only thing that would make this knife better is contoured scales, like the ones on the Slys (?) Bowie. PLS Sal

As I said earlier, I simply thought that what I said would make you realize you could easily figure it out by yourself, but by then I wasn't aware you had to go get the tool itself from the mechanic in which case I completly understand your question. The only thing that kept me from buying one is the steel since I live 8 blocks from the Pacific. Strange steel choice, IMO, for a knife that's supposed to be in your pocket all the time. I mean, Taichung makes the highest quality Spydercos at the moment, so it always intrigues me that some people still want to buy a knife made in 'Murica at all costs even disregarding other knives beca...
