Has anybody EDC'd the Mamba, if so what were your thoughts? I love the design so much but good lord, like 1/3 of the blade is un-sharpened. Has it become a burden for anyone to sharpen? I am a HUGE Mamba fan... I actually held one for the first time today and I highly recommend it, however not for edc. It would edc perfectly fine but the lock is a bit hard to disengage quickly, and for good reason.. It's a really beefy knife. haha PM me in october when I have saved enough to buy it...

Hmm... I'm confused at how many people are saying they don't want to buy the mamba. I will be purchasing once in a few months for sure because of those unbelievable looks and I don't plan on using it. However it will hopefully be the only $300 knife I will ever want to have or else I am in big troub...

Is this thread not allowed or something? Usually there would be at least something by now.

Also I noticed that in the catalog there is the spelling "Ouroborus" where everywhere else it says "Ouroboros".

There is only one spyderco I can think of that is coated for no particular reason.... The Mamba's grinds are coated while the flats are satin. This wouldn't help light discipline obviously but holy cow does it look good!

If this doesn't drop a bit in price I'll probably get the Rhino which I also like. (No offense SpyderNut but the Ouroboros was my first choice.) It's only a little smaller, better steel (cts bd-1) linerless g10 and also comp lock.
