Re: My s35vn steel doesn't hold edge for long?
Different people have different opinions as to what "sharp" is, but for me it's not sharp until I can easily shave hair with both sides of the blade. If you aren't getting to that point you probably aren't getting a clean, burr-free apex. Are you using a jig or sharpening free hand? What ...

Couple of Japan made beaters. Love the GW-5000 with the steel case. The ultimate G-Shock in my opinion. The delica is about the perfect edc knife I believe as well.

I really enjoy my pacific salt. Just wish they could make it ffg. Then it would be perfect. Hoping for a ffg lc200n version one day. :)

Its barely wider at the widest point but the stock delica tapers down pretty quickly while the wharnie has the curve. I guess well see as mine will arrive shortly.

That looks awesome! My only grip was how wide it sticks out from the handle. Could we see a picture of it closed? Mine arrives tomorrow. I wanna drop it in the mail to you for that mod!? :)

Re: New Delica Wharncliffe-chip in edge
This is the kind of thing that drives me nuts when I open a new knife box. This isn't a knock on Spyderco as I realize mistakes happen, but I see this type of thing on a fairly regular basis from ALL knife companies. No way this should make it in a box and sent out to a customer. I'm not sure I wou...

Re: Manix 2 Questions
All M2 lightweight are pinned except pivot, Sounds like you want s110v. Excellent edge retention and corrosion resistance. All the Manix's I've handled required two fingers to close easily. Steve Ketchen Sketchen Scales makes nice manix scales. S110v lightweight is my personal favorite.

Re: Out of the Spyderco knives you own, which one is your favorite?
I've had some of the higher end models but I must say my favorite is the delica. Perfect edc. If I want a little more blade then it is the endura. You can beat them imho.

Re: Delica 4 fake or old stock?
I watched a couple of videos (including Nick Shabazz's vid) but still managed to mess up the spacer alignment. Do you have a link to the recommended reassembly method? Installation of the lockbar starts at about the 21:30 mark. https://youtu.be/MERI8A17jjM This is the same method I'm talking about ...

Re: Delica 4 fake or old stock?
You need to assemble the knife entirely other than the lock bar. You put the lockbar in last. You insert the lockbar and then press the d-bolt through. You can find some videos on youtube showing this method. Its actually fairly easy if you do it this way. I watched a couple of videos (including Ni...

Re: Delica 4 fake or old stock?
Thanks for looking. Does the logo etching look like this one as well? Tang markings are stamped on both of mine. Pink VG-10 one in the same font and size as the one you're worried about. Green ZDP one in a slightly larger, more widely spaced font. When they use to stamp them dies would eventually w...

Re: Delica 4 fake or old stock?
Wow lol. I bought a used Endura once that had the backspace tabs not engaged with the scales. I had great trouble reassembling my Delica. Aligning all the pins while trying to prevent the spring bar from jumping out of place is very hard. I thought I managed but now I see that one of the spacer tab...

Re: Delica 4 fake or old stock?
The fact that you can see the typical VG-10 "waves" in the steel on the knife is question indicates that it's probably authentic. It's unlikely that a counterfeiter would use VG-10, and I've never seen another steel exhibit that wavy quality. Not sure what you mean by the waves but the bl...
