I know what the alloy contents are.... ;) I did try that thing you wanted me to just to see, but it made NO DIFFERENCE in the results as I tried to tell you before, and more than once that the wood isn't abrasive enough to effect the result..... So there is no need to change the way I am doing the ...

CTS 20CP is Carpenters version of S90V... NOT S60V..... CTS 204P is Carpenters vers of Bohler M390... Just correcting a few of the many errors and misinformation in the above post..... For the rest of them it's not even worth my time and energy typing to correct them all..... Anyway.... The thread ...

Hi Vassili, Good to see you here. Crucible made another batch of Cruwear and we will be using it in a model soon. Mostly for Joe. We only have two US foundries to work with. What steels, (other than 440V, which met with much resistance) would you like to see? sal From Crucible - nothing really. But...

Vassili, Last you wrote here about current steels you stated Cruwear was on top in your test. Has it changed or are you talking about overall performance and not the specialized testing you have done? Thanks, and yes I still like Cruwear as close to a favorite steel as I can come up with. Joe I am ...

After dumping good steel - CPM S60V and run this CPM S30V scam, Crucible desperate to make at least some steel which can compete modern steels from Carpenter, Bohler or Hitach. So far their best effort CPM M4 - far behind competitors. They try to use PM technology on old steels like 154CM, D2 or M4,...

Hi Vassili, 'Glad to see you here. I thought that I had already apologized to you. If not, My apologies. Running hard right now. Will try to get back later. sal Well, I have problem with pretty specific action of yours, so generic excuse I do not consider as excuse at all, I do not see you admittin...

I feel like I have to post this here even I am boycotting Spyderco for inappropriate comment Sal made earlier. Considering that, I still should not hide the fact that this new Cruwear Mule fixed (and seems like tested properly before going to market) show best result in my edge retention testing. Se...

Hi Nozh, Thought I'd take this to a different thread. The recall thread is to serve another purpose. I've known you on the forums for many years now. I would guess that you are anal retentive (as am I), obsessive / compulsive (as am I) and I think that with your Russian heritge and my Latvian herit...

If this guys super special testing process is so effective why did he waste his time working on a mule that he should have easily been able to identify as defective? This is what I did - I tested it and found poor performanse (same as for CPM S30V which nobody recall for that). Test take day of wor...

nozh, I think you have made your point clear by now. Can we agree to disagree and let it go now? Please, this horse was dead long ago. Thanks, I hope it would be clear for most noisy part of the crowd as well, it looks like they just warming up. However I am not sure you will be able to reason them.

Wow this thread sure got out of hand. If a person were to boycott every company that has ever let a manufacturing error slip through the door, that person would have to live on a deserted island naked, because no company in existence is that perfect. What separates Spyderco from the rest is that th...

Sal, Initially Mule project was very promising - like testing ground for new steels. But in real life among all Mules only CPM S35VN (#6), Cobalt Special (#9), CTS-BD1 (#10) are actually new steels introduced by Mule project. Somehow two Mules happen to be made out of steel not interesting to anyone...

Nozh, Mule Teams are an anolmoly to regular production. We try to squeeze them in. No two are the same and each run is an entirely new project. It is a real PITA to do. It does not mean that we have no quality control. You are being irrational. We have two options; We can deal with the issue, which...

This is not one little mistake as I already mentioned several time. This mistake should not go to customers, if at least one blade got tested. Those Mules were sold to for few weeks, until failure in HT was found I assume by one of the customers. Conclusion - not single blade was tested inside Spyde...
