Re: Manix 2 lightweight choices or ?

Good choice! A little help in caring for your DLC blade...after using it, it may look like the blade is scratched. But, I'd be willing to bet it's actually scrape marks of the material you were cutting and not an actual scratch to the blade. Try some Flitz polish to help remove the marks. I persona...

Re: Manix 2 lightweight choices or ?

Depending on your sharpening skills, what you plan on using it for, or what you feel like spending...in the LW format, you really cant go wrong with the BD1 models (Satin or DLC) I have the DLC model and is a dedicated camping knife and Iove it for a hair over $100. Takes quite a bit of abuse, but ...

Re: Manix 2 lightweight choices or ?

As others have said, seems like there aren't many sprints/exclusives of the lw manix. You might check on ebay or other swap and sells for the brown frn/xhp exclusive. I got mine on ebay for about the original sale price. Thanks. There was a brown just sold on another forum. Should have jumped on it.

Re: Manix 2 lightweight choices or ?

Lefty here. I have no trouble using a “right handed” PM2. I was planning on picking up a lefty but then they put out a Cruwear model and well CRUWEAR! I also have a Cruwear Manix 2 from a few years back, (it was my first Spydie actually). I would choose it over the lw any day, but I’m not a fan of ...

Manix 2 lightweight choices or ?

My current EDC - mini grip sheepsfoot, Chaparral, Southern Grind Spider Monkey and Buck Marksman Gray Ghost I’m strongly interested in a Manix 2 lightweight. Looking at S110V blade. Should I get this one or wait for another Sprint run in some other blade material? Related - I’m left handed, so do I ...

Re: Chaparral FRN CQI

Carrying the Chaparral for about two weeks off and on. It's great. I only have one small nitpick. The honeycomb FRN is very grippy and almost sharp, like fish scales. I especially notice it when I put my hand in and out of my pocket. Will the scales soften up over time? Maybe my hands are too sensit...

Re: Chaparral FRN CQI

Last week I screwed up my address on my order since we moved, it got cancelled and then Chap went out of stock. Checked Spyderco website this morning and I think I got one. It shipped same day. Yay!

Chaparral closed height

I’ve searched and haven’t been able to find an answer. Can someone measure the height of a closed Chaparral for me? It’s looks like the back of the spine to the top of the Spydie hole is the tallest. I have a Squeak and want to compare the two as I started a new office job and think the Chaparral wo...
