you've been on that Alaskan cruise too longBrock O Lee wrote:Nothing against S90V, but I would have preferred a PM2 in a thin ground solid CPM154 blade.
S90V seems to be as common as grass these days.

Huh? Are you thinking of the Woodcraft Mule in S30V? That was a whole different deal. From my memory: the woodcraft mule was a dealer exclusive. Some woodworker website. The previous release of bushcraft blades was after the original Bushcraft knife with wood handle turn out bad. The wood supplier ...

As a compulsive buyer of cool things, I will get a table at a gun show about once every two years and take a bunch of stuff and price decently so I sell half or more. At one I took a bunch of knives including spydercos and priced the same as I would on BF. A hundred people wanted to flick them, I go...

I have lots of experience with deer. Although any knife can get the job done, the various drop point hunters are ideal. The Spyderco Moran in drop point. but I think the Benchmade Hunt series has one I would choose over the Moran. Benchmade just came out with the Hunt series. It is much better then ...

no temper issue with the Ken Onion work sharp, it is variable speed and will go quite slow. I would take the KO worksharp over the sharpmaker in a heartbeat. I have had a sharpmaker for a long time, and have used the KO worksharp ( I have seen a demo but not used the regular work sharp, not so impre...

K294/CPM 10V would be the next step from K390, but depending on hardness and HT one would really have to test to see much of a difference. From CPM S110V the next step would be CPM S125V at high hardness, 63-65 RC, but not sure if that would be possible production wise and or keep them affordable a...

I also take apart if grit or something gets in the mechanism. So post a pic of the pig, then take the knife apart again. If you have questions post them here and post photos and you will get it resolved. Your next purchase should be a fixed blade or you will go through this every time. Seems like Sp...

Great photography by the way. What you see has nothing to do with grind, it happened later. Can you send it back and exchange it with the dealer? Not out of line at all to request that. For someone who is just going to use the knife there is no problem, but sounds like you are more the collector type.

The factory person that sharpened the knife probably changed the angle he/she was holding by the time they got to the tip. I have never been there or seen a photo or video. but by looking at blades I am guessing they are sharpened relatively free hand. Probably an angle guide to start with but not t...
