Fun with fakers

Here is the childish part of me. There is a fake Spyderco on ebay with a buy it now or best offer. Lets all do best offer of $1. or even one cent. Not only to be childish but may discourage the seller from continuing this particular fraud http://cgi.ebay.com/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?ViewItem&item=281326...

I buy and sell on CL. I see no red flags with his post, actually quite the opposite. He hits the no BS highlights. If you want the knife at that price do it.

I don't want a folding knife for kitchen or hunting. You get stuff in places you can't clean. If you think otherwise take a folding knife you did a deer with a few months ago and see how a dog responds to it. (I'm not just guessing, it is from experience) Earlier the AG Russel Honcho was mentioned. ...

I am hoping that Sal will feel charitable and invest in doing a left handed Domino or Southard. Better yet a slight variation of one of them with a super steel so the righties can know how it feels :) They know what the market is on a left hand version and I can probably guess how attractive it look...

Although I sold mine to support my continued buying, I thought it was great knife. If it had a fancy steel I would have kept it.

I never had any objection to this type limited run. I for one enjoy the sport of chasing after hard to find items. I collect old military items, a field filled with forgeries. But I take it as one more challenge in the sport. If all models of Spyderco were cheap and easy to find I would own fewer, n...

So did Howes sell their two, or did they start this shipstorm then take their two home? :) Gotta say when JBL, Extron or etc sends letters to dealers we keep them confidential.

To help balance out another injustice: Since left handed people are left out on all the new frame lock models it would only be right to give left handed customers first crack at mules and a limit of 5.

Perhaps the best idea is only sell Mules to people who have bought every single mule since #6.

I think that sounds great. And I'd be happy to pay an extra 10% for a charity. Not me. I don't need Sal or United Way to handle my charitable giving. I am quite happy with how I handle it on my own. If Sal chooses to do a 5% up-charge to pass on to a charity that is his prerogative and I won't be m...

Why are so many of you suggesting increased cost or limits be put on yourself? What have you done to deserve punishment? Sal didn't ask what burden you are willing to bear.

It is annoying that flippers beat enthusiasts to these products, no doubt about that. But trying to control it would be likely to offend many of us by over reaching the norms of business, yet still not succeeding in affecting the market (because the market rules the market). I am a collector of many...
