Persistence vs. Tenacious
I was looking at the latest catalogue and I was wondering what the forum residents think of the Tenacious and Persistence as for quality and useability. Are they simply a step above Byrds? Do you have them and use them? I am considering one or both as a next purchase and don't want to rely on the re...

I was on a carrier, when you serve 4000 men quality goes out the window.

Re: Steak knife
Boy this brings back memories. Back in my navy days (early 70s) meals on board ship were an adventure in culinary experience. The mystery meat they served was indeed tough and the knives supplied couldn't cut butter. Out came my Buck 311 to the dismay of others around me. Didn't make it taste any be...

Re: Why buy a custom when there's Spyderco?
Extra, I can relate. Although I haven't goNE through as much as you I to have scars over various parts of my bod caused by skin cancer and A typicals. You do raise a good question. For me I can't afford anything custom so to buy a stock spyderco makes my small collection just that much better. Beaut...

Re: Review: original Rescue vs modern Endura
Love the old rescue. Mine has a faded look along the edge from what I have no idea. It pairs nicely with an old delica I have also with the plastic molded clip.

Zip tie on natives
Hi all, I have two natives that don't see pocket time because they are hard for me to open with just my thumbs. Authur-itis you know. Can someone tell me where the thread is for adding zip ties to the holes? Pics would be great.

Re: Ebay seller advice
Having had a chance to (talk) with Sal himself when I was new here is a real treat, I agree. It's rare when you can go one on one with a company owner. I was also privileged to share with Mike Janich. Is this a great forum or what?

20 Spyders and about 100 others. I am not a collector, I'm an accumulator.

Spyderco S
I saw two listed on ebay for around 200.00 each. Is this anywhere close to accurate? The reason I ask is that I have 2 of them and rarely ever see them mentioned anywhere. I did send a clip to another forum member some time back otherwise mine are pretty much unused.

Here is my Goddard; https://i.imgur.com/rYZNXEc.jpg Cant help you re box and paperwork. Im not a collctor and could not care less about boxes for my knives (they are just clutter IMO) - if it did come in a box, I might have thrown it and the paperwork out. Not sure though - might be stashed in a cu...

Re: Do you think the delica is still relevant?
I think the Delica is as relevant now as it was when it was first introduced. It always was and will always be the little brother to the Endura. Add to that family; the dragonfly, the Ladybug and the Manbug. Then you have 5 knives all with the same manual of operation, in sizes to fit your needs or...

I have recently gotten interested in whittling. Did spyderco ever make a knife with a whittling blade? If not, hey Sal what do you think? A small thin straight blade for the creative genius that resides in all of us. (Available for consultation if needed) :) ,
