Orange eat your heart out the people have spoken and green is the way to go! Not all too surprising, since the darkish green is much more low-key. Lots of people, I'm guessing, don't want to carry a bright orange knife in their pocket. I'm reminded of how many people don't even like unpainted clips...

Eh? The Ernies haven't even been produced yet.

I love CS but honestly feel the XHP one sold too fast. Surprising being orange as its a great color for us fanatics but not for the rest of the world. I'm wondering if the Nutnfancy folks jumped on it too as he pushes CS as his pick. Not that that is a bad thing, nor is XHP. Just that 204p in green...

Yep the blue (Smurf) PM2 from Bento Box Shop (BBS) has M390. M390 and CTS-204P are very close to being the same steel--except I have no idea what HT is used or any of that. Please stop with the "dumb question" bit because that wasn't even close to qualifying. Check my previous posts for go...

I love the Spyder hole. I love the "form follows function" and "integrity" philosophy. I'm not a fanboy (god I hate sycophants with a passion, every one of them), but I love the product. The day they sell out to some giant scumbag corporation and everything goes to Hades, is the ...

sir_mike wrote:which is the better steel?
I can't remember what steel the Turd PM2 has, but I don't think there is a much better steel than M390/CTS-204P, unless you enter price into the discussion.

Nice sprint color, with blade steel equivalent to M390, all for less "gold pressed latinum" than the Bento Box sprint!!! :D Can't wait 'til it arrives.... I posted something to the effect that this knife shows how overpriced BBS was, but then I realized that I have no idea what the produc...

Goes to show how overpriced BBS was with the Smurf. Same basic steel, $50 more.

It's probably obvious, but the Google link I posted earlier can be modified to search a different time range, rather than "past month".

This has me considering cancelling my Ernie PM2 order in favor of this one. Better steel for ~$30 more.

As others have said, VG-10 has a lot going for it. Takefu has called VG-10 their best all-around steel, and some pretty hardcore people have agreed with them (including some guy with the initials "SG" or something like that). Its good corrosion resistance is often overlooked, and its excel...

Well, whatever. The Tenacious has 1.5-mm hex scale screws. That's indeed "one-and-a-half millimeters". Some people claim to have a Tenacious with some other type of scale screw, but the one I mentioned seems to be (at least) predominant. I'd bet you used the wrong type or size wrench, or m...

I strongly prefer FRN as Spyderco uses it on the Delica/Endura4 family. I feel it has better grip than G10 but yet doesn't tear up your pockets b/c of the bug medallion they have right under the clip. So you have the functionality without the additional cost of G10. I love my Native5 but am anxious...

Money? Who said anything about money? It's a new knife. Why should he have to spend money on it--unless he bent the clip, which isn't the impression I got.

Bend it? Ever heard of metal fatigue? You shouldn't have to bend it.

Whatever. Here we go again.
