Re: Bladeshow 2021
https://i.ibb.co/CbcV6y2/20210606-133333.jpg I just couldn't wait another year to go... The Military 2 is great, except it has a different choil. Sharper and deeper, like the PM2. I hope they revert that change. There were some Amazing pieces. Specifically, the choilless Shaman. If they make a Salt...

Re: Bladeshow 2021
I finally clear the time to make it to Bladeshow and I wake up to this... https://i.ibb.co/GtQ5yGz/20210604-185733.jpg But you do have a spare tire of course and still made it?! :o (hope so anyway!! :) ) That is such bad luck. I bet only a space saver spare, or worse, a can of ineffective foam gloo...

Re: subway bowie!
I'm loving the way the blade turned out. Does it have a handle under the FRN, or just a tang?
Coincidentally, Fred just finished a custom knife for me and It's on the way here.
I hope CBP doesn't give me any trouble. :p

This is correct.yablanowitz wrote: ↑Fri Jun 04, 2021 3:38 pmMini Mariner, intended as a necklace. I think I remember reading that it just looks like a lock back, it's really a slipjoint, but I've never handled one so I could be wrong.

Re: Military 2
Leave the choil alone. It is the only choil I've found that was actually neutral, in that you can have your finger in many different spots within that choil. The handle on the Military is a design that should remain as it is. Changing the lock to a compression or backlock? Great! Just, leave the han...

Rib stew (ragu) https://i.imgur.com/Lo3PInl.jpg Wow! This brings back some memories. My grandmother would make a short rib ragu back in the day. I used to LOVE it. I would get FAR too big of a bowl, because if you didn't, it was gone. Leftovers were not a possibility, regardless of how much she mad...

Top sirloin steak resting before I slice it for a salad. Re: Compression lock Manix
A Manix with a compression lock wouldn't be a Manix anymore. How do you figure? In my opinion, if the Manix has a compression lock, it's no longer a Manix, it's a completely different knife with re-engineered everything. I say call it something different if the lock is unnecessarily changed. So the...

I deride the CBBL, as much as some people dote on it. If it were up to me, the CBBL design would have been either tossed in the refuse, or further refined until it met my desires(I LOVE the idea of the lock, hate the execution). why? There are several issues that I have with it. To start, the amoun...

I would like to add the Ulize as my Write-in candidate, even though it isn't SE.
In this size range, it is by far my favorite. Light-ish, while having full liners; Slim in the pocket; Backlock and an exceptional blade shape. Yummy!
