Re: Taking apart knives - part 2

I don't disagree with you, but "trendiness" apart a lot of these innovations have been - are - valuable. And since Spyderco has often spearheaded innovation - creative approach to multi-tools, ClipiTool line recently, improvement on locking mechanisms, top notch stainless steels, etc. - w...

Sal: How about a Okapi-like ratchet that you have to push a button/lever far back on the handle during opening and closing to operate? I hope you understand what i mean?

Re: Waiting on Caly 3.5 Sprint

No need for washers or taking it apart. Just make 'em like the old ones and i'll be very happy.
You'll save a ton of grief with knives that can't be jacked up by owners dropping screws in the carpet :P

Re: Spyderco and the "Sharpened Pry Bar" discussion thread.

I might be wrong, but as far as i have heard, the Tuff wasn't exactly selling like hotcakes during its 2 year life span? To me it is one of those "woke up too late" models that everybody wants after it's discontinued. I doubt it would sell much better today, once demand gets saturated. A k...

Hi Larry_Mott, sorry the flipper/lock placement didn't work out for you. As far as your distaste for flippers, I'll just say you're totally wrong and flippers rule :D ! Never mind me, i'm just the last of the luddite dinosaurs :) It's a nice piece overall, and i am sure i could adapt to it. It's ju...

Re: Spyderco Amsterdam Meet 2018 Report

Oh, dear. Now I have to think about the Alistair Phillips. What appealing lines. If the thickness was 2mm, not 3mm, it would be a no brained for me. That thinness and the edge curvature would be the sliciest! What i appreciated about Alistair and his knife was that he, in true Spyderco spirit could...

I like them! Not holding my breath for current models in SS though.. Being weaned on red pained wooden Mora handles, everything is plenty grippy enough for me :D

If you have to take your new car back to the dealer for warrantee work, do they reimburse you for the fuel it took to get there? No? Ok, how about if the same new car gets a recall notice, and it then needs to go to the dealer? Fuel reimbursement then? Still no? How is this different?? I guess if y...
