Ikuchi is certainly gentlemanly in the pocket, but might be a bit scary when deployed to non knife folks.
I do dig the chaparral. I really like xhp, and the carbon fiber or raffir noble are certainly fancy enough. Though I also enjoy my frn version.

Re: Ikuchi
Between this knife and the Kapara people are pouring it on about LC200n. I don’t get it. There’s a bunch of steels I’d prefer to that (and s30v). People prefer rust resistance to edge holding/taking?

Re: Ikuchi
Mine went from dud to awesome by just working through the chewed up finger. Now it fires out reliably without any problem, doesn’t require eating up my finger and has no blade play while dropping shut. I’m glad I stuck with it. It’s also a surprisingly sturdy feeling knife.

Re: Ikuchi
Mine has loosened a bit the more I’ve worked it. Can now get it pretty reliably. Still chewing up my finger. But it’s getting closer, and I like it enough that I’m hanging onto it.

Re: Ikuchi
Received mine Friday morning. Very difficult to flip. Has my index finger all chewed up. Gripping it in a very particular way I am able to get it open, but not reliably. I may well be returning to DLT, but not positive. There is a ton I like about it but this much difficulty opening is absurd. Only ...
