Re: What are you listening to?

I spend my work days in a truck and listen to a lot of music. One of my favorite things to do is to listen to an entire artist's discography from start to finish. Today we're going through the middle generation albums by Slayer :) Their first 5 albums are absolute classics. Not sure if you listen t...

Re: Community Sharpening Journal

Looks good to me! I have the DMT Diasharp stone with the X Coarse/Coarse sides. That stone is no joke! When it was new the first blade I tried to sharpen felt like it was bouncing around the stone because the X coarse was so coarse haha. Great stone for reprofiling. Does the job quick that's for su...

Re: Community Sharpening Journal

Decided to stop chickening out and reprofile my M4 Millie tonight. Couldn't stand not wanting to carry it because of its too-shiny-and-slippery edge :( Knocked the edge a couple degrees back and did away with the microbevel. The factory needle tip too. All in all, it didn't take me as long as I thou...

Y'all are making me want a chef!
I didn't think it would be so good as an EDC, but almost two months in and it's seen more pocket time than the M4 Millie (though the meh factory edge still on the C36 plays a role in that).

Re: What Spyderco is in your pocket today??

I don't usually have FOMO but that design is *chef's kiss*. I hope they don't sell for outrageous amounts in the future, or that I can score one when KJ makes another run. It's definitely a steep price to pay, but it's also a pretty cool design compared to most of my Spyderco's (which are primarily...

Re: What is your profession?

I’m a senior reactor operator at a nuclear research reactor. We provide radiation with which scientists do experiments. Knives are very rarely needed, but I carry at least one everyday anyway. Ah, working on facilitating a resonance cascade I see. Do warn us a little in advance when it's due ? :D

Re: What Spyderco is in your pocket today??

Spydiechef has been seeing a lot of pocket time lately, now that the M4 C36 is getting a nice patina :D
It's slowly selling me on Ti folders, and I'm now eyeing the WE Gava...maybe a birthday/new job present from me to me ? :p

Vivi... just so you know, I hate you. ;) :D Seriously though... I'm supposed to be dreaming of real estate, not a kitchen! :D Bartender asked for some of my chicken strips. Did them the right way this time with panko and egg wash. flash fried then baked. crispy crust, very tender meat. https://file...

For all the people whining about the satin blade on the Knife Joy exclusive...here's my reground satin Bowie :p https://i.imgur.com/qA4MFx8.jpg I'm half-heartedly hoping the new exclusive drops the resale value of the first variant. There's one on the bay right now, but 800$ for a production knife ...

71CA731C-369E-4F0A-94EC-6C5A0BB65F04.jpeg Samesies ! I put it in my fanny pack yesterday and reflected on how much I like the design and execution despite its size. So the Millie stayed at home for a change. I love the fact that it's basically a 3-part knife and mostly idiot-proof (though this idio...
