Re: What's your favorite guided sharpening system?

KME here based on many recommendations from this forum a couple of years ago. The WE system really caught my attention, but cost, ease of set up, and the fact that I don't re-profile all that often were considerations in favor of the KME. Lot's of good video tutorials on YouTube helped me move quick...

Re: Best torx wrench set

I use this for knives and everything else: MASTER TECH 65 PIECE SET - ESD HANDLE, MINI RATCHET AND MICROBITS IN METAL STORAGE BOX. Has nearly everything I need and will ever need. I added another handle and a couple of other specialty bits, and it all fits in the box. https://i.imgur.com/6yaYDDY.jpg

Re: What's your favorite thin & slicey Spydie?

Chaparral appears to be the winner based on the number of mentions, but I've never handled one.

Out of my collection the first to jump to mind is the Caly 3.5 ZDP-189 Sprint.

1. PM2 (your steel of choice): Just an all-round perfect do-everything knife. 2. Advocate (CQI): Quintessential blade shape; M4 steel; very snappy flipper; thin and pocket friendly especially w/deep carry clip. 3. Gayle Bradley 2: Perfectly proportioned from tip to heel; M4 steel; again quintessent...

Re: Caly 3 love?

I own a couple of Caly3s but always favored the longer blade of the Caly 3.5. It was my favorite EDC for a long time, I bought several, and still consider it among Spyderco's best designs. Pinned construction and limited steel choices eventually gave way to the lure of models and brands that offered...

- The hinted at Military 2 with compression lock.
- The expected Native Chief Sprint with CF and high end steel.
- The considered Titanium Ikuchi.
- The whispered two brothers of the Ikuchi.

In the "trimming and refining" the collection mode since 2018. Even so I still managed to add over a dozen models of assorted brands to my collection this year alone :o Among the Spydercos: - Shaman Sprint - Ikuchi - another PM2 - another Manix2 - another Yojimbo Will reset and try the &qu...

Re: Ikuchi

Glad they fixed it and hope the design is a success as it should be. Not sure if I'll purchase yet. If I do, it will be the fourth Spyderco where I purchased one from the first batch, which had issues, then had to purchase a second one months down the road for a corrected copy; effectively paying do...

So what are the CQI changes over the first batch?
Was there ever confirmation that they were actually making CQI changes to it?

Where did you get the CF scale for your XM-18 Skinny? Looks fabulous. Is it a standard CF scale or one made specifically for the skinny?

Thanks much!

Re: Any sprint runs or exclusive Yo2 in the works?

The fit and finish of my DLT CF 20CV is among Spyderco's finest examples. I initially hesitated due to the high cost, but once I pulled the trigger and got it in hand I never looked back. The smooth CF feels so right that it inspired me to smooth the G10 on my original as well. My photo doesn't do i...
