I love wharnies too. Anxiously waiting for the release of the next round of Swaybacks from my favorite retailer.

Re: An Original Two-Screw Worker
FYI, Gail and I had to hock our house to cover the cost of the first run of the Clipit knife, which most said would fail in the marketplace. Talk about "risk" We sold our knives along with our Sharpeners at consumer shows and fairs. It was many years before any stores or dealers ( Brick a...

Re: An Original Two-Screw Worker
The clip side on mine is clearly thicker so must be a Gen 2. Hah, learn something new everyday :) The clip is original. That makes perfect sense and explains why the clip has the earlier markings. Those workers with the uneven scales (one thin and one think) are very cool because they show the tran...

Re: Anybody still use CASH?
I shopped at an Amazon Go store in early March (just before local SIT orders were issued). Walk in, help yourself to what you want and leave. When you're done, a receipt is emailed to you before you make it out the door. It doesn't miss a thing, not even just one cookie from the bakery. You take it ...

Re: An Original Two-Screw Worker
https://i.imgur.com/lu2Oonbh.jpg This is an interesting example. Are both handle scales of the same thickness? As I recall, the earliest (Gen 1) had the two-screw clip and both scales were thin. The Gen 2 knives had one thin scale and a thicker scale on the side with the clip (and I believe it was ...

Anybody still use CASH?
I've had the same $115 in bills in my wallet for more than two years, and I never carry coins. Everywhere I go I simply wave my card, wave my mobile phone or pay by app. The vendors at my favorite farmer's markets use card readers on their mobile devices. The parking meters and garages all accept pa...

Re: An Original Two-Screw Worker
@shunsui Thanks so much for posting the old price sheet! I dimly recall paying around $39 but wasn't sure if my memory was correct. Thanks for confirming. Back then it seemed more people called it the "Clip-it". Here's a pic of my Three-Screw Clip-it which I purchased around the end of 198...

1. Ed Schempp's Khukuri - odd shape for folder and somethings gotta be done about that HUUUGE ricasso. Otherwise it's pure genius.
2. Spydersaw - I still pair it with something like a Shaman, PM2 or Military when out in the woods.

Mako 109 Do you have a name or part number for that Wiha set ? I have 3x the Wiha screwdrivers -- short stubbies that hold the 6x different size T bits inside the handle. I would like to get the set you have shown :-) Thanks mate. Wiha #75965. I've also added another handle and four additional bits...

Depending on the size, weight and intended purpose of the model, wire clips are sometimes the best choice for me.

Re: Russian aftermarket scales?
Yes, the two photos in my response above are by Aramis Akhmedov...the CF Shaman and the CF Military. Aramis has responded to every one of my emails within 24hrs. Every time I've ordered I've received the scales within 10-14 business days. Considering its coming from all the way from Russia that's pr...

Re: The Manix Project...
Looking good JMM! I did the same mods, one with green hardware and one with blue, both with smooth CF scales. Guess I got lucky as fit and finish on both ball cages are perfect. I also replaced the SS ball with a ceramic one. An unexpected benefit, now both knives make a subtle mechanical clickety-c...

Re: Lil Native & Chief - CF/s90v treatment
I'm in for a CF Chief in a good stainless like S90V or M390 (or it's analog).
Contoured CF would sweeten the deal, but please no "laminated" CF/G10.
