From the current Spyderco lineup, I would recommend a Pac Salt ...

I'd say that's not bad at all. Don't sweat it. That little bit of off-centeredness is fairly common I would say, and doesn't affect performance at all.

Good advice from SnowCrash. I think it was fairly common for the M4 Millies to have some grittiness while opening and closing when new. I know mine did. I basically did as described, proceeded to open and close many, many times and now my M4 Military is the smoothest of my 5 Millies.

I pre-ordered mine from forumite Catamount (Tom Berry) at http://www.spydercovt.com. Tom's a great guy and doesn't request payment in advance. Nice to keep it "in the family" too.

Awesome pics folks! Mine showed up today, but alas, I must wait until Christmas morning to take full possession. I was able to quickly inspect it before handing it over the wife for wrapping though and it looks absolutely perfect!

One month update - it has still not left my pocket and has cut quite a bit, from foliage and cardboard, to paper, tape and plastic. I am finding the M4 steel is living up to it's reputation of edge-holding, sharpenability and level of sharpness. Which is to say, really, really good on all fronts. I ...

Mine has some very light staining from trimming palm fronds in the back yard. I expect it will develop much more "character" with more use around other "juicy" materials, just like my other uncoated, carbon steel blades (Opinels and HI khukuris).

Since I got it almost three weeks ago, it's my M4 Millie. In general, for EDC it's usually some variety of Millie or another for me, but the M4 Millie may just be my favorite now. If we're talking the knife that sees the hardest use and not just the most use, that would be my Rock Salt which sees lo...

I think it may end up booting my BG-42 Millie out of first place for favorite overall knife. :D Been in my pocket since I got home on Friday where it was waiting for me. I am LOVING it so far. Haven't cut a whole lot with it, but it did see ...

You need to go to Arizona Shooting Range on 441 just south of Commercial. They have a huge selection of knives and tons of Spydies, including some real grails, last time I was there.
