Re: Smart Phones
I have a Samsung S7 Edge. It's fine for what I do. My mom has an iPhone and all of the security features drive her nuts. She's probably going to trade it in for a new Samsung/Android phone. Here's the thing. If you work in business and need all the security, I think it's fine, it's just overkill fo...

Re: tracker knife
To be honest with you, I've never heard or read anything about the design. As an entry level prepper, if the idea was to design a tool with a shovel capability it succeeds. The more that I think of a bushcrafter's needs, it seems to fit. That said, I'd rather carry a small BOB and have better tools.

Re: Honoring the late Butch Vallotton
It sounds like Mr Vallotton advanced the state of the art of knives at Gerber, Spyderco, Microtech, GATCO and Blade. He has left him imprint on the world and will be missed.

05/22/2020 - Visit to Loyola Hospital I'm just back from the Loyola hospital in Maywood, Illinois, where I had to see a heart Dr. They are not allowing anyone who is not a patient at the hospital in to the hospital. There are a number of very large signs outside the hospital (4ft x 8ft) and inside ...

Re: New to Spydercos, need opinions for Law Enforcment
Just to let you know, my brother is a Chicago cop. He has been on for more than 25yrs and he has not been in an office pushing paper around. I buy his knives and so far so good, he wears everything that I buy him. If you are looking for training films on how to use a knife or karambit I recommend th...

Re: New to Spydercos, need opinions for Law Enforcment
Hello, Some guys at work got me into knives and I’m particularly interested in getting a Spyderco. I saw this question asked back in February, so figured I’d create a new post as opposed to piggy backing off another. So, looking for a new carry knife for work which I keep in my weak side cargo pock...

Re: Naked and afraid...
I always have a knife or two on me, and they are 100% for self defense. But that does not mean that I don't have a knife for opening a box or two...those knives are near the front and rear doors where boxes are taken in.

Re: What are ya drinkin????
Wut? No personal pics! DOH! I had 3 Laguanitas IPA, and 2 Laguanitas Hopstoopid. I really needed 5 to 7 Laguanitas IPA, or 3 Laguanitas IPA and some rum...but, it's drink WTF you have on hand unfortunately. This beer absolutely rocks, I cannot say enough about it. I've even been to the brewery 2X. I...

Re: PRICING
Be sure to take in all of the different Spyderco models. There are some DEALS in their catalog, but you need to know what you are looking at.
For instance, look at the price of the Province in 4V! Where can you get a knife like that in that steel for that price!!!!

RustyIron Where would we be without you and people who are, just. like. you. Back when I was waking up at 3:30AM to get to work to drive the form truck for footings and foundations, then swinging a double ended steel pick for 10 hours a day for three days straight, and carrying two steel-wood faced ...

Re: Make sure you disinfect
You aren't kidding! We do wipe some things down with a bleach solution before they go in to a refrigerator or on a shelf. If it goes in to the freezer, I tell everyone to wash their hands after handling anything in case we missed it. The dog here eats chicken breasts and it is prepared though boilin...

Re: Has the Coronavirus affected your daily life?
My mom and I used to take the car for errands every day multiple times per day. Now we do it maybe once every two to three weeks. We went to Pete's or Starbucks for drinks and breakfast items at least three times per week before SARS-CoV-2 hit. I try to stretch it to once every three weeks, but that...

Re: Mule Team Picture/Appreciation Thread!
I just had an idea. Spyderco is thinking of a custom shop. Why not crank out all of the mules in the various steels, with 5 to 10 different handle combinations incl 3 different cord wraps, with Boltaron sheaths. A complete Mule knife package is a pretty good move and I know that I'd be down for a fe...

Re: Two Decades of Great Spyderco Models: What's Your Fav?
I will buy the Yojumbo, no question about it so it goes on the list. There are other knives from Spyderco that I will be buying too! My favorite Spyderco knives: 1) Province(4V) (Probably will buy another) 2) Sustain(20CV) (Probably will buy another) 3) Jumpmaster 2(H1) 4) Yojimbo 2 (Have 1 in S30V ...

Re: What has become of Bladeforums?
Blade Forums is garbage. Totally juvenile. A total waste of time. I have a knife collection worth $20,000 with 90 knives in it. I rarely post pictures of any of them. I did not know but in "Whine and Cheese" people that have been on the site for a long time tear everyone up. The staff love...
