Favorite, always have it on me knife is my delica 4 Emerson opener. 2nd favorite is my ladybug salt hawkbill with ghetto wave (a notch, not just a zip-tie). In the next couple days my sage 1 will get here and I plan on it being my new, almost exclusive EDC but maybe not till it gets its first few sc...

Looking for photos/examples of ladybug's w/ wood (or other custom) scales

I've been doing alot of wood handled knives recently (no folders), just did one for my moms upcoming birthday and am currently finishing up an old rapala fishing knife of my fathers (who died 9/28/12) which the handle was totally rotten (it was interesting cause Its the first full-tang, one piece ha...

So I got another delica today (this one with a wave dated BM) and it had the same backwards printed numbers as my purple DK (4/11) one in the 3nd post.

Well thank you to both of you. Does she carry a knife currently? There are several pink and purple models, my wife keeps a purple delica in her purse and for her upcoming birthday I'm either giving her a Pink dragonfly or making pink G10 scales for the delica. If she doesn't currently carry a knife ...

Hi Travis, thank you for your service, what branch are you in? Don't worry about your wife, they'll never understand. Just ask her why she needs so many shoes/purses.

Ah, thanks for the pic, and making me feel like a retard lol. Looking at stock photos of it (that's the Hunter model?) they were always angled away from the POV and it appeared round to me. Still the blade shape is quite spyder like don't you think.

SD with a knife has always been a touchy subject for me, I have a CCP and carry a G29 every day, I keep my AR next to my bed and last July I had to use it when an intruder targeted out home after a drunk/high fireworks show. We have 3 young kids and my wife and I had no problem ending his life (it d...

Victorinox one handed opening models- spyder hole used wih permission?

I haven purchased a new SAK in over 20 years (and my old ones are still going strong). I was lookin at picking up a few models and ran into the one handed models with the "opening hole". I'm curious if they spyder hole is used with permission or just blatently copied? If any company was go...

Morgan from criminal minds has a spyderco (looks like a delica but I'm no expert) in last weeks episode. Edit: just looked back in this thread, looks like the new CM had not yet been mentioned. And that sub /"newt" suite with the hawkbill knife as the right hand [2 pages back] is freaking ...

I'd love to see the sheeps foot ambitious, sheeps foot is aesthetically my favorite blade profile. I've done a few blades, even one that wasn't broken to begin with.

I carry a D4 ffg and a SE hawkbill ladybug. I also carry 2 flashlights, a new foursevens quark QP2L-X Burst mode in a holster and a zebralight SC52 in my left pocket, so no I don't think there's anything wrong with carrying 2 of a piece of gear.

The main argument against liners is weight, I would imagine you NEED a knife with liners. Im not 100% on this but i believe the shallower serrations your asking about we're just the normal serrations on older generation knives and that all current production knives (at least the ones your lookig at)...

I'm going to suggest something other than what your asking for, just to make sure you see it and know its an option- an Assist, it is a combo edge with 3/4 serrations, that'll give you enough serrations to be able to saw cut while still giving to a plain edge for when you need to be delicate. It als...

Took my delica 4 apart today, what are the hand scribed numbers inside the scales?

Today I took my purple Delica 4 ffg apart and I noticed on the inside of the scales under the liners were numbers hand scratched into the scale, one had a 2 and the other a 3. What do these mean? I got this knife new from a dealer and this was the first time its been apart so it could only have been...
