I have become a bit disillusioned with ZDP-189 for everyday use. In ZDP-189, I have a Ladybug, 2 Michael Walkers, 2 Dragonflys (one in continual daily use), a Delica, a Stretch. Also, I have a Mule Team in use along with two other Mules in the kitchen. The other 2 Mules are CPM S90V and ELMAX. The M...

I got a Caly 3 first, but when I got the 3.5 I would never go back. I carry the 3.5 all the time and love it!

I have used one for several months. I haven't wanted to say anything as it is not for the sharpening purist with an Edge Pro (which I have) or a Wicked Edge. It gives me a fantastic edge on my work knives, and very quickly. You have to get the hang of it, or, if you are not careful, as with any powe...

I started with a Fenix LD01 but found it got pretty hot if left on for a few minutes. I now use a Fenix E15. The battery is a bit more costly but I like the size.

I tried a Super Blue mule in the kitchen too. My wife is not into kitchen knife maintenance. She soon complained about the "rusty knife". I replaced it with an Elmax. She is happy again. I cleaned up the "rusty knife" for myself as I enjoy knife maintenance. Super Blue is nice st...

Fantastic buy! If he had listed on ebay, the price would have zoomed up. On the "no boxes", it certainly means nothing unless you want to sell one. I don't keep any of my boxes as I don't have enough space to store them all. I know buyers are suspicious of knives without boxes but I don't ...

You know, I don't remember. I think mine is Amboyna but it might be the Burr Walnut. My driver sort of blocks my view from the back seat.

3-1-1,
That is Amboyna Burl. If you look closely at your Rolls Royce dashboard, you will see that it is made from the same wood.

That's an awesome caly 3! What kind of wood is it? Thank you. It is Amboyna Burl. I have added it to several Spydies that feel a little thin for my hand. This one had a problem when I glued it up. The blade was no longer centered when closed. I cut three slits on each side and straightened out the ...

Last night at a party with a buffet where you only got a plastic fork and paper plate. I had a piece of meat that was a real challenge for a plastic fork. Whipped out my Caly3 and made about 12 bite size pieces in just a few seconds. Even my wife was impressed.

The reason I posted that link is because the knife blank shown is not a Spyderco from the Mule Team collection. So it is, at least, mislabeled as a Spyderco Mule.
I see nothing like it in the Spyderco catalog. So what is it?

First Mule S90V

This is my first post and first Mule. I started with temporary, removable scales from Russian Olive Wood, hence the oversized screw holes.
