JD, your info on the identity of the Matriarchs is a little off. Here is the history: the original Matriarchs were black and created for the South African market, then came the limited edition gray Matriarchs (500) for BladeForums, then the production version in black for the US market. Gray was ATS...

Great little design! I've sold quite a few to people with disabilities of one kind or another. Also makes a great pill cutter for when you only need to take half.

2013 Lum Tanto Sheaths

When the first issue of the Lum Tanto was out, many people wanted a Concealex sheath it and I made quite a few. Now that the new sprint run Lum Tanto is out, I'll be making sheaths for those that want them.

I've been meaning to make some sheaths for the Enuff series, but have been a little too busy lately. I'll see if I can squeeze some time in to do so.

The FB04 has been one of my very favorite little concealed carry knives since the original came out. Michael Janich's re-design of the sheath is a great improvement over the original!

When you go to install the large TekLok on your sheath, you will more than likely have to drill another hole to accommodate whatever carry angle you want. Install the TekLok using just one screw and post, then put it at the angle you want, see where the correspnding hole in the TekLok lines up with ...

Hopefully we'll see the Pymy Warrior soon. Last word I got was March/April. We'll see; ETA has been pushed back several times.

I actually just got my Street Bowie in the Mail tonight. I was SUPER excited. Overall the Blade is amazing. Any recommendations on where to get a Kydex sheath? The Bolatron sheath it comes with carries Nicely but it dulls the edge of the knife rather quickly. :( Just finished this one up, so will p...

Yup, see the post that is two posts above yours. :) I've done many, many sheaths for the first issue Perrin Street Bowie and will soon have a couple made for the new issue. Hasn't been a real front burner project yet because I was impressed with Mike Janich's redesign of the sheath, but if there is...

ETA has been changed several times, but the last one I got was March/April. We'll see if this holds true. Certainly hope so.

I much prefer the Street Bowie over the Street Beat. Still carry original Street Bowie in one of my custom sheaths. Received a couple of the new ones and must commend Mike Janich on his redesign of the factory sheath.

Mike, You hit the important things that a lot of the sheath makers ignore. Lock-up is tight and no rattle, while still having a smooth easy draw. Most don't get the tension/release dynamic. Sheath mouth is chamfered and smoothed, an important "little subtle thing" often ignored. I'd say yo...

Nice job on the sheath, MIke! Big improvement over the older one, but then again, that was Spyderco's first effort with thermoplastic sheaths.

Sal,

Any word on an ETA for the Pygmy? Anxiously waiting to see the Spyderco version since I've played with the original REKAT prototypes. Should be a great little knife!

Nice collection!! Spyderco's Pygmy Warrior will look very nice with the others. Still waiting on its release, which was supposed to happen late last year. Any good news you can tell us, Sal?
