Speaking of loupe's, what would you guys recommend for a cheaper offering?. There are so many cheap ones on eBay it's hard to know where to start

Re: Para 3 in s45vn or 204p which one would you go for?

It's hard to say because s45vn hasn't been out yet in the hands of the users. But it does sound nice, seemingly similar to s30v and s35vn. But 204p is supposed to be a step up from those steels. If your looking to get the best steel, I'd go with the 204p personally. But there are other factors, like...

Re: Native chief vs Endura?

Ok, I just purchased a native chief. I'll Update this thread when I get it with some comparison photos and some thoughts on both models. The Endura in supergold, which is my main edc knife, should be a pretty even comparison to the s30v chief, so at least in terms of steel it will be a fair and even...

Re: Stretch 2 sprint run

I really don´t get why these are still available (I mean:Great for those who want one, don´t get me wrong!) - Always thought it was primarily the somewhat unusual and funky look of the original Stretch 2 blade (which I personally actually still prefer) that kept people from buying that model. But t...

Re: Native chief vs Endura?

I agree that an frn chief would be the ideal for me I think. I am a fan of the feel of frn and frcp. But is that even on the horizon?

Re: Native chief vs Endura?

After seeing DOUBLE Ds pics Im thinking I will sand down that first point on the endura. It only took about 15-20 minutes with a few different grits of sandpaper. The first time I did it, I took the scales off afterward and re-dyed the scales to take away the slight fade of the sanding. But with th...

Re: Native chief vs Endura?

The Chief is really good. I cant imagine it disappointing anybody. If the endura didnt have those darn points in the handle it would probably be one of my favorite knives. That one little thing kills it for me. I should just start sanding them down so that I can have enduras that I enjoy. https://i...

Thanks for the excellent replies everyone. I may have to get my hands on a chief and do some side by side cutting work and photos. I'd that ever happens I'll post it all up here.

Native chief vs Endura?. **Now with pics**

Anyone have any good comparisons, pictures, or recommendations?.

I'm an endura guy, but I'm wondering if the chief is an upgrade that is worth the price difference

Native Chief rex45 alert thread.

So it's not available at most websites, but it seems optics planet has the rex45 chief available to add to the cart. They also have some other very interesting things that are available to purchase. Such as the s45vn para 3, the spy27 para 3 lightweight, and a mislabeled lightweight manix that has t...

Re: >30 degree factory bevels

I agree that to drop it down to a factory 25 degrees inclusive might be the best option. Although, in the sharpmaker instructions, Spyderco rightly states to start with the 40 degree setting, and use the 30 degree for the back bevel only. So expecting to hit the apex on 30 degrees isn't always a fai...

Re: SRS-15 / SRS-13 ?

As the Endura is my favorite model, and pretty much only knife that I own now, I'd buy a couple. But no crazy zome for me. I like the dark brown, dark gray, or fde. I've been waiting for either the cruwear, m390, or s30v endura! The endura gets no love compared to the Delica! And with my uses I just...
