Probably shouldn't have because I didn't really have the knife budget to spare, but went ahead and snagged one from CS this afternoon. One of my favorite steels in one of my favorite platforms was too much to pass up. I'll deal with the knife budget problems later.

I'll say that this was worth the wait for me. Glad to finally have one in my pocket.

The choice of the through the blade stop on the Chaparral and Sage 5 is interesting to me because it is not required for solid lockup on either the lockback or compression lock. Seems to me that the Manix LW has turned into the de facto "folding Mule" that has been discussed elsewhere on this forum. I think it's a great platform for getting interesting steels to the market in a relatively low cost knife.
