Re: Paramilitary 1 Enthusiasts?
Yes old thread ... but I still prefer the original para. I do own an m4 pm2, and yes I can see why it would find its way into a lot more pockets. But my D2 paras suit my “small” work knife needs perfectly and see a lot more carry.

Re: Combo Edges Truly Getting A Bad Rap IMO
I frequently carry an se and a pe blade. I know that I’d put a combo Millie to use. I have been on the fence for some time with the combo 52100 Para 2 mainly because I find combo edges are more useful in larger blades. However I’d also love to see how 52100 performs with teeth...

Re: SPYDEREDGED Sprint Runs: It's Way Past Time
There are a lot models we’ve mentioned here that would be great performers in SE. But at the end of the day there are only two that I would definitely buy without hesitation. An Ayoob & an SE Millie. The millie I’d buy a couple of!

Re: Do you care about deep carry?
At work I need to get to my knives easily and quickly, deep carry gets annoying very quickly. The military clip is perfect for my uses, that’s one of the reasons I still tend to prefer the original para over the para 2

701 profiles are your friend here, hunt some down. I’ve three 440v SE Millie’s which see a tonne of work. All kept alive with Ye olde profile stones.

Guess I'll just use a chamber pot and not shower. I'll probably still not be fast enough! My sentiments exactly,...

Re: Anticipation: For The GAUNTLET & GALLEY V kits??
I’m not far off dropping some coin on on some more sharpening gear, luckily found some more 701 profiles locally... I might pick up an 11’ coarse DMT while I’m at it. Where’s the hype on the Gauntlet JD?? This is the first I’ve heard of it.

Re: Serrations other than presentation side
I know serration depth varies with the grinding. However I’m a huge fan of the shallow serrations commonly found on many of the early Golden Spyderco’s. While the pattern is the same, many of the Japanese produced spydies are ground way to deep and aggressively IMO. My original ATR was nearly unusab...

Re: Black Blade (TiCN coated) Lil' Matriarch
My recent acquisition of a civilian (which I’m still in awe of) has opened my eyes up to the world of the recurve blade. I’m on the fence about picking up a normal matriarch, but a lil matriarch would be something I’d love! .. not too keen on a black blade though.

Funny how a change in jobs affects your perspective on your knife carry.
I went from carrying 3 knives plus backups in my bag in my old job to barely having a use for one in my new job.. I miss giving my Millie’s a good work out, my s90v kw has barely seen the light of day yet

Re: Any Rex 45 Millie's shipped yet?
Same boat here, don’t get me wrong the pm2’s are a great knife ( Call me weird but I still prefer the original PM). I’m glad they’re are so popular though as that leaves more nice Millie’s for us! I thought I was done buying Millie’s as I have more than a few, but this Rex45 does look interesting... J

Re: Against the grain...
I prefer vg10 over s30v any day. I love FFG SE blades. I love the early single liner Millie’s. I have not been able to bring myself to buy a tip up liner lock folder, and can’t understand why they are even produced. I don’t like flippers, black blades, shiny clips, low rider clips, Camo or anything ...
