GP is sold out. Just pulled the trigger on one from Cutlery Shoppe. The Native is my favorite Spyderco, so might as well get the pinnacle version while I can.

The Siren is a backlock with no hump in the PM2-ish size.

With a tiny grip area for the size of the handle, and a huge finger guard that keeps your hand far back from the edge.

The Watu has a 3.26" blade with 2.92" cutting edge. It's 2.5mm blade stock, FFG with a distal taper. It's not as long as you want, but I think it's along the same lines as what you're looking for.

If you want a comp lock knife with the choil and thinner blade stock get a Sage 5 LW. It's the better Para 3 LW.

I think that something like a PM2 or Millie in a Salt version is a bit more complicated than a backlock. More metal parts, more contact points and potential for galvanic corrosion. Try warming it up with a hair dryer or short blast from a heat gun. Heat usually busts stubborn thread locker.

Since you're looking at used knives, I'd try to find a Native 5 LW over a Chap or a Buck 110 for your stated uses. Otherwise, for a hard use back lock for $60 I'd get a new Cold Steel SR1 Lite.
