I like it. I'm not sure what everyone is getting all worked up about. Aside from doing crazy stuff like putting big ole thumb holes in your blades, there isn't much you can do to make your knife really any different than any other knife. Really, how many ways can you design a clip point blade? Remin...

Some peel ply carbon fiber 1911 grips the same texture as my military CF scales?? I'd be all over those. They'd look great on a stainless gun. http://www.carboncreations.com/ makes some already, but they are of the shiny carbon fiber variety.

Packing.org back when it first started. It was exciting to see a site with a small group of guys just talking turn into the best source on the net for firearms related info. It was just as painful to see its decline and demise as well. :(

What are you using to take them, Digital or SLR? If it is a newer digital camera you should be able to change the size of the picture. It will most likely look something like this. http://www.covingtoninnovations.com/michael/blog/0710/071004-CanonMyMenu.jpg He wants to be able to link to pictures i...

Interesting. That is kind of a "Gunshop Commando / Internet Pistolero" comment from your instructor. I've seen quite a few people shot. They don't often drop or fly backwards a few dozen feet like in the movies. A good shot to the central nervous system (spine/brain complex) will drop a p...

You're not doing your neices any favors either, I wouldn't think. If they're still at a learning age, they might start to think this is the proper way to type/spell.

So I've been looking around for infomation on CPM D-2. (You can't search this forum for it, frustratingly, because "the words are too small.") CPM's version of D2 uses particle metallurgy, whereas other D2 is apparently wrought. So does the method of manufacture make a big difference? As ...

I've got a CF Military with the raw/textured CF handle. It is showing some signs of the first layer peeling along a few points on the machined edge of the cf where the cf curves outward. (along the "spine" of the handle and where the handle curves out after the linerlock). I've had it for ...

David, if you can find a BG-42 with the CF handle, I would get one of those. I think you will like it even more than the regular one. The peel ply CF is as grippy if not more so than G-10 but significantly lighter. It also has a really loud "clank" when the lock engages, which is sort of ...
