Ah I didn't notice what the C41PBK on the box meant. I can't believe I missed such an obvious detail. Well we seem to have two conflicting opinions. This has piqued my interest even more now. Does your Native use the same box as well? I found this thread on BF so the number 60 does seem to hold tru...

I wonder how badly...

... Spyderco's production of knives from Japan will be affected? :( :( It sure doesn't look very good for that country in general right now and my best wishes go out to ALL the folks over there, but on a side note, I'm wondering how this is going to affect Spyderco? Edited to add: If this came acros...

To bad that in 45 years nobody has taught him not to steal other company/people's designs!

On this note...what is the appeal of the carbon fiber handle? Strength/integrity? My buddy has a Spyderco with CF handle, and I don't care for it, mostly due to the lack of grip. Too slippery for my oafish, sweaty hands. I would much prefer a G-10 handle on a knife, though I admit the CF's are pret...

With carbon fiber as the handle material, this one is likely to be too pricey as he stated that money IS an issue here. :D :D

In a 'Highlander' situation such as this (There Can Be Only One!), I would have to go with:

D) None of the above. Spyderco has other designs which are far better for the SD role than the rather limited selections given. I realize you mean 'which EDC would be the best if used as an SD knife', but honestly, if there is a possibility of a need for an SD knife to be carried, then one of the kn...

This is probably a Collector's Club knife that was re-sold. I don't believe Spyderco has done any numbered runs of Rescues. One possible exception might be the WTC Rescues, but I'm not sure on those.

Hmm, that link doesn't lead to anything specific, just a home page. At least, it doesn't now.

However, after some looking around, I see knock-offs of Spyderco, Gerber, CRKT, Buck, Boker, plus I'm sure, many others.
