Well, I hope I can manage to transform the rather bright ivory G10 into something a good bit darker, with spots just like you guys have them on your FRN scales. I figure this might look pretty cool with the damascus patterns of the blade...

What do you think?

I think the fact that it has been listed in a Reveal is a good point in time to start a lookout thread for a sprint with limited number of pieces made. I trust that Budda and RamZar and all the other Special Agents will help us all to be ready to pull the trigger when it's time. ;) I will try my bes...

Well... I have made my peace with the fact that I have to pay the price. With shipping + tax + duties it'll cost me >$300 which is kind of crazy, but: A) I've always wanted a Damasteel Spydie. B) I doubt that the UKPK will cost less. C) I do not like the Ivory scales -> so I'll change them, one way ...

It would be possible to rit dye the ivory G10 scales of the upcoming Urban Damasteel sprint to a darker tone that's more in tune with the darker blade, right?

Does anyone know any site that sells those? I don't remember if I have seen them for the Urban. Most likely cause the standard production version has FRN scales.?

I imagine the Stovepipe will be a tough sell at $420 MAP, perhaps also the Urban sprint at $280 MAP. The real eyebrow raiser for me though is the Carter Minarai series. The gyuto in BD1N with polypropylene handles for $270 MSRP/$229.5 MAP? You can get a handmade gyuto with arguably better materials...

And it will be even pricier, being Made in Golden.....

The blade is plain beautiful. The color of the G10 however...... and then there's the price.

Right now, I'm at No. I need to see when they drop. I've been waiting for the release of another Damasteel Spydie impatiently...
