Does anybody know how many pieces are being made in this sprint run?

You would have to use the choil on the dragonfly. I don't own a dragonfly, but I own a Delica (no choil) and a Caly 3 (choil) - I don't find holding the Caly3 comfortable without using the choil, and it's larger than the dragonfly. I'm not a fan of choils and that is why I haven't bought a dragonfly...

Thanks Yablanowitz for the input and sorry for the mis-information. I never looked that closely at the serrations and was going by what I remember the sharpmaker video showing. I will have to adjust how I sharped hawkbill blades.

Tony, I sharpen all my knives with the back of the blade first, tip of the blade last. I have never heard of the tip first method you describe. Is that a better way? I love the Chokwe and I'd love to see it in other steels. I would also like to see a slightly smaller version (3" to 3.5" blade) to facilitate EDC.

How is the edge retention on that after the FFG? I always buy my H1 in SE because it has a higher RC and better edge retention.

Spyderco can't do FFG H1 blades. Not sure why, something about Hitatchi not allowing it.

I know it's their trademark so there's no possibility of it going away but I think you could slim down a lot of their knives (a la Para 2) by utilizing thumb studs or even a smaller spydie hole.

I think the issue is not as much bumping an old thread as it is the apparent attitude that Gideon did it with.

Favorite models: Chokwe and Delica.

The Chokwe is almost perfect. The one change I would make would be to shrink the size a bit to around a 3" blade, it's just a bit large for my EDC.

Delica: Needs some new higher end steels other than ZDP-189

Something to consider is that the Gayle Bradley if made of M4 steel which is NOT stainless and needs extra care to prevent rust. I'm not sure if the OP realizes this since he seems new to knives.

Wow, those are some very different knives and different sized knives as well. If you're willing to look at the larger knives like the military and police, give a look at the Chokwe as well, it's one of my favorite and the construction is superb. Have you had a chance to hold the Dragonfly2? I've never held a dragonfly before, or a Cat for that matter. The thing I guess I'm most wondering about is ergonomics and that is a vey personal thing. Aside from steel type, handle material, color, etc. I'm most concerned about which knife is going to...

I don't have either one, but I'm wondering which people would buy and why if they were only going to get one.
