In my admittedly limited experience sharpening, I've never found any need for oil on stones. Water with a little detergent works fine, and can even clean the stones while you cut.

I think it would have to be something like the Cold Steel Bushman. It chops, slices and can be added to a staff to make a spear.

I don't think a folding knife of any description would suit if TSHTF.

That said, I'd always have a Victorinox. Probably a SwissChamp as it covers everything.

As already said, happiness can't come from other people, it has to come from inside yourself.
