Just one question guys,

I'm trying to get a meekat to my left-handed wife for christmas. Can anyone tell me whether the clip is reversable? I'v never got hold of one but it seems to me it could be unscrewed and be fixed on the left side of the scale. cheers.

Happy Thanksgiving guys. But I really think Donald Rumsfield ruined it by announcing "Bush have said we want Bin Laden dead or alive, but you all knew which I prefer". God bless you all, friends, and remember to use your table cultery when you make a go at your turkey, not with your spydie...

Poor old chef

I'v picked up a news piece some days ago from the news wire that a Chinese chef from Hong Kong was arrested in the the Chicago airport... "A 76-year-old Hong Kong chef was arrested at O'Hare Airport in Chicago for trying to carry meat cleavers on board in his hand luggage on his flight home. Mo...

Postman has just arrived. My new mouse sneaked out from the box the moment I opened the package. It was as good and pretty as I have originally thought. Just one point I've notice, the mouse's handle fits my hand very well, the finger groves are actually more comfy than, say, the navigator and my in...

Anthrax (nearly) put me off

Gosh, had anyone thought otherwise of ordering a knife by post recently because of the anthrax outbreak in the US? I very nearly (thank god i didn't afterall) decided not to order my knife for christmas this year by post, fearing the box being cross contaminated on its way through the US post office...

Just to add that only take it out when you are confident that you won't draw too much attention. I never tried to draw it from my pocket and try to flash it around. I think being low profile about it is the key.

I got different reaction from people under different circumstances. Cops or security guards tended to be very curious or overreacted when I surrender my knife for keeping when I go to some Government or public function, where lots of politicans and biz fat cats are attending. From their looks I alwa...

Sal You guys have already sent the 200 knives to the rescuse workers? Got any coverage by the press on that move? Any idea whether your rivals have done the same? because it sounds a good story to me and I would love to hear more info on that. I know our paper here in Hong Kong is a bit far away fro...

I have also thought of buying one but when i saw a similar card knife made by mircotech i am tempted to get that one instead. anyone of you have come across the mircotech one, which has a sort of drop pointed blade instead of the spydercard's straight blade? I have only seen that in the mags. Also, ...

As people rely more on the civil society and modernity these day, they start lossing their basic survival skills which once had been a norm for every adult and child alike. As well as skills, people tend to lose their mental ability to take charge of their own lives, their own safety and be master o...

Well except knives for self defence purpose people could still carry other weapons in disguise. But I still get my peace of mind with at least one folder with me on any flight. A friend of mine did say something interesting yesterday, that if knives are banned people would start taking other things ...

From what we have heard from the newsroom here halfway across the world in Hong Kong is that the US aviation officials are already starting to think about a review of carry policy and are thinking of a carry ban. Don't blame the media, because quite a few journalists (except me) carry knives as we a...
