Any suggestions on steel? My first thought was K390, but they aren't planning on making any until OCT '19, though we probably won't have the design finalized until then.

The Delica is the current plan. I've got a drawing, now to see if the maker can get to the odd specs. Very thin edge, high hollow grind, high hardness steel, etc.

Yes, I love my SE version so much that I was looking at the PE BBS version, but then I started thinking how much better it would be in Hap40 (given Japanese production, as opposed to Rex45).

I was using my VG-10 Lil' Matriach the other day and what a powerful cutting tool that little blade is... it can hack through small tree branches with no problem. I'd guess a return at this point. But, I'd give it a thorough look over see if it looks like it's been taken apart. If you're handy with your knives, you could probably tune it in properly even if it had been and determine if there's an issue with it. Do you have any other PM2's to compare it with?...

Well... KnifeCenter just shipped a Paramilitary 2 Rex 45 that it said they had in stock on Friday. I'm quite surprised. How is it that they have a Rex 45 Paramilitary 2 in stock? Was it a return?

I like the design, size, ergonomics, steel... none of that was an issue for me. The main stopper was the 6mm blade stock thickness. I just don't need/want a knife that thick and heavy. Was that thickness necessary for casting 440C? Can you cast 440C in a thinner stock?
