I was reading this on Knife News yesterday too and was wondering the same thing. These look strangely familiar.

Re: Discontinued For 2018 - OFFICIAL List
I've always wanted a Tasman Salt to replace my Byrd Hawkbill and I was able to finally get one from Blade HQ for $50. Too good of a deal to pass up right there.

Re: Crazy deals @ Sierra and other places
Now that the Tasman 2 is out, do you guys think we'll start to see the Tasman 1 at discontinued prices? I've been looking a bunch and I haven't seen anything yet, though the Tasman 2 just came out a few days ago.

Re: Saturday With My New Hawkbill
I spent Sunday with my Byrd Hawkbill. It served me well as I was mowing and needed to cut down weeds and trim line for the weed wacker. I honestly can't believe how affordable these knives are. I have to sharpen mine around once a month and find it is fairly easy to sharpen and get's to a pretty ser...

I would double click the home button, swipe up to close out of all your apps and then restart the phone. This should fix your issue.

Re: Crazy deals @ Sierra and other places
I bought two Delicas. We'll see if the order actually goes through and if I get CE or FFG. The title on the listing said full flat grid, but the description says the edge is partially serrated. Either way, great deals if this actually works.

You can't beat the quality of the knife you get for the cost. Mine gets the most use cutting boxes up for recycling and it chews through cardboard like a chainsaw. I touch it up on the sharpmaker once or twice a month. Great blade and it now has me wanting to grab a Tasman Salt.

Re: Gift of Spyderco
My old neighbor was moving and when I was helping him I noticed he didn't have a knife to cut tape, boxes, etc. Lucky for him I had just returned home from the Spyderco Factory Second Sale and had a few extras. I gave him a Tenacious, but before I handed it to him I opened up the blade and shaved pa...

Here's one I got to play with last week. '64 1/2 with 25k miles on it. All original and unrestored except replanted the factory color 10 years ago (with proper lacquer paint). David, are you near Owensboro by chance? I have a cousin who used to live out that way and it's amazing how many Mustangs a...

Re: Opinel question
I have only ever used the carbon steel Opinel's and I really like them quite a bit. They'll take a super sharp edge and hold it for a fairly decent amount of time. I also like the way to carbon steel patinas. One thing to keep in mind is the No. 6 is the smallest size you can get with the locking ri...

Re: Does Spyderco offer any deep carry pocket clip options?
I bought several deep carry clips from a guy over on BladeForum and they work perfectly. Maybe some one else remembers his name, but if you need it I can dig around and find his contact info. TheOriginalSpaceman? If so that would be Casey Lynch and he makes an awesome pocket clip. I have three of h...
