Shaman Rex45 Lock Face. Problem or Normal
Hello together, I wanted to know if the lock face of my Rex 45 Shaman is normal or if that is an issue. The problem I have is that under quite a bit of force I can achieve horizontal blade play. Is that corner on the blade's lockface wanted from factory? The liner is not able to travel above that st...

Gayle Bradley 1 Geometry
Hey all together, it has been a very long time since I was here for the last time. I was not interested that much in the newer knife designs. Then I was extremely lucky to buy a GB1, unused. I disassembled, cleaned and polished it up a little bit, perfect in every way. I sharpened it and it got extre...

Sal, are there any plans for the normal Stretch 2 FRN
Hi Sal, hey folks, I wanted to know if there are any plans to "upgrade" the normal Stretch 2 FRN? IMO it has one of the best ergos for a folding knife ever and I love the blade shape. I noticed that the Endura, Endela, Delica and so on get upgraded or sprint versions are released, not so t...

Re: HRC Database
Hey everyone, I just recieved my new GB2 and sharpened it. It sharpened so easily that I had to do a HRC testing at work (we got quite superior equipment ;)). 2 pokes into the tang, 62,7HRC and 62,3. I would be a little bit happier if it where a little bit higher, but I think it is good to go. Maybe...

Tenacious Regrind
Hi folks, yesterday I reground a long forgotten Spyderco Tenacious Blade and swapped it into the green handle scales. Went with P80 VSM ceramic, P120 VSM ceramic and finished with A160 3M Trizact. I do not like it too fine. Thickness behind the edge bevel before the regrind was about 0,6mm (huge bev...

Svord Hiker Modification (Handle, Choil, Regrind)
Hey folks, I modified my Svord Hiker, which comes absolutely unuseable out of the box... I made handles out of some kind of brown micarta. Then the ugly and too small choil was fixed. Finally I reground the blade, 80 grit Cubitron 2, 120 grit ceramic and polish done by hand. There are some scratches...

I use Silicon Carbide stones for that types of steel (~20$ made by Tyrolit). Works very well.

Regrind - Manix S110V
Hey folks, I just finished my latest regrind. S110V is quite hard to finish, however it didn't took any longer than normal to abrade the material. I used new ceramic belts (60, 80, 120) and finished with a fleece belt. Results are ok in my opinion, could be better... http://abload.de/img/p7300140aco...
