Re: The Last Gun You Bought
Went into a sporting goods store for a new basketball and walked out with a clearance Mossberg 88 for $150. Couldn't say no at that price :D https://i.postimg.cc/XY8DsRvn/20201002-004133-HDR.jpg Solid performer for such a cheap gun. Now the question is which mods should I give it? CF307335-884A-426...

Re: End of 2020 Opinions on VG-10
So what are the other 2 out of 3?
I’m just going to go ahead and guess LC200N is one of them considering your affinity for the Spyderco Caribbean.
EDIT: I like VG-10 because of its corrosion resistance and ease of sharpening.

Re: Recs for Self Defense while running/biking?
I would see some houses with a sign that says “safe place” or something along those lines. This indicates that if Something bad happens a child has a safe place they can run to in an emergency. Yes this sounds like a good idea. The only problem is, who makes sure those places really are safe and no...

Re: Recs for Self Defense while running/biking?
Where I live, there have been several incidences recently of someone trying to drag school kids into a mini van. Naturally this is pretty upsetting as my daughter has a train ride/bike ride journey to school each day. My wife immediately purchased pepper spray and a portable alarm but my feeling wa...

Re: Recs for Self Defense while running/biking?
Hi OhBuoyancy, The only reason I wanted to mention this is because you say you are new to the knife world. You may or may not be aware that Mr. Michael Janich is an expert in the the art of self defense with a knife. I highly suggest you take his recommendation. I agree that the Tasman would be an a...

Re: Caribbean Troubles
Or just take note of the washer position before you remove them the first time. If I ever take the knife apart, I'll make sure to take close-up pictures at every step. And I'll definitely watch at least a video on the disassembly first (I think Nick Shabazz made one). The Caribbean still locks up s...

Re: SpyderSaw
Nice, but why not add a saw to the newer, bigger Clipitools as an extra blade layer? Say, a "Clipitool Hiker" for example. This^ You may be on to something there, a saw would be a great addition to the Clipitool. Honestly though I really think they should upgrade the Clipitool to BD1N. If...

Re: Caribbean Troubles
FYI I’m not someone who takes my knives apart. I have seen a few videos of knife disassembly and sometimes it’s suggested that “if the action is poor after reassembly you may want to flip one or both of the pivot washers. Not sure if this will help you, something to take into consideration when disa...

Re: Crazy Good Deals Part 2!!
St. Nicks is running a few Spyderco knives at last years prices. I couldn’t resist picking up a Kapara for $188.50! Also you could pick up a standard S30V Military @ knife hub after 10% off for roughly $160. I think that’s not bad at all. https://www.knifehub.com/product-page/spyderco-military-c36gp...

You’re exactly right, all these people on smartphones are on drugs. The drug is called dopamine, it’s produced by your brain. To put it simply it’s a reward system for your brain. Every time something good happens for example: you eat something that taste good... your brain gives you a little tiny ...

Re: Have you owned a Spyderco lockback with zero play?
I’m happy to say that NONE of my Spyderco lockback knives have blade play of any kind. I own: Two Delica 4 Police 4 Lightweight Pacific Salt LC200N Tasman PE Lady bug Native Salt Siren The only Spyderco lockback I ever had a problem with was the Lady bug. When I started to use it the lock failed and...

Re: Thee Most Practical Spyder Of All Time? Your Choice?
My choice of the Delica earlier in this thread not only had to do with the quality of the model, but also because of the idea presented in the first post; a knife you could potentially gift to a family member or otherwise non-knife person, who may end up liking and carrying it. IMO, most non-knife ...

Re: Thee Most Practical Spyder Of All Time? Your Choice?
I think when Spyderco comes out with the new Salt 3 in LC200N with green FRN like the new Pacific Salt, it will be one of the most practical knives ever made. But if we’re only talking knives that actually exist I’ll say Spyderco Siren. The Siren is a go anywhere do anything knife and it’s ambidextr...
