elliot - what method do you use for that? I have that problem and was about to send mine to Golden. I just use a Q-tip and rubbing alchohol. Actually Denatured Alchohol, but rubbing would be just as good. Roughing up the tang is a good idea and might help. I would be careful to keep all lubricants ...

I have a tapered tang, blue model Dodo and I have been able to close the blade with slow pressure on the back. I'm not trying to be negative or anything, but .... :rolleyes: do you think these will hold up with the big hole in the middle?
