elliot - what method do you use for that? I have that problem and was about to send mine to Golden. I just use a Q-tip and rubbing alchohol. Actually Denatured Alchohol, but rubbing would be just as good. Roughing up the tang is a good idea and might help. I would be careful to keep all lubricants ...

I have a tapered tang, blue model Dodo and I have been able to close the blade with slow pressure on the back. I did find that cleaning the ball and tang where the ball slides eliminates this problem, so I just check every once in a while and clean as necessary. I've never taken this knife apart, bu...

My vote would be for a green G-10 or macarta. Maybe a canvas macarta or the same color as the little temp. I would also go for a grippy carbon fiber or any type of wood. I'm excited, this could be "The" knife! Would that be knifeogamy? Who am I kidding, I'm just not a one knife man

I hope you don't mind if I make some suggestions? :D Again without seeing it in person, the clip may function flawlessly and I hope I'm not steping on any toes. The reason the clip would fatigue at these narrow spots is that they create a hinge point and when the clip is bent, say when sliding into ...

Does anyone know the ETA on this? I thought it was on my list that I printed out from kristi, but alas I can't find it. Is anyone else also looking forward to the Byrd version of this, the meadowlark G-10? The Caly3 looks better, of course, but this would be a lower cost alternative. It may even be ...

I'm not trying to be negative or anything, but .... do you think these will hold up with the big hole in the middle? The only reason I ask is becuse of the problems with the Calypso Jr. clip that had the small hole that was prone to breaking. It's hard to tell from the picture if the clip...

See the white micarta Calypso Jr.!! That knife is sweet. The contouring of the handle would probably be too much $, but it looks very comfy.
