I did at first too. But the lack of a lock really doesn't take anything away from it. The mechanism is extremely secure and satisfying to use.

I'm sure there would be for those who could travel there. But what about some sort of online auction sale or something?

I can't do back pocket carry. The clips snag my couch every time I sit down (especially the Military with its squared off clip). I always wear untucked shirts, and never have a problem with clips scratching or snagging clipped in the RFP.

I've never had that happen either. :confused:

The Delica is by far my favorite of the Japanese FRN models. It's just the perfect combination of size, weight, and function for most of my needs. I bought several of the Super Blue FRN sprint models, but I find the only one I really consistently use is the Delica.

Welcome. Sorry to hear about your disappointment. I can tell you, all Ulizes are not like that. Mine has excellent fit and finish, with centered blade, smooth action, and none of the excessive scratching your pics show. I hope you get a nice replacement.

It's probably my favorite FRN color. I can't seem to kick the Delica out of my pocket!

I'll have the HAP40 Delica, and the CF Balance for opening plastic packaging.

I vote PITS too. It's just such an innovative and practical design.

But very close runners-up include the Schempp Bowie and S110V Para 2.

I'm sticking with the original PITS for now. But I hope this version attracts lots of new buyers. The PITS is such a great knife.

Yeah, I've owned many Para 2s, and every one came tip-down (and every one was immediately switched to tip-up).

I really like the Lil Lionspy. It has a very nice pocket clip, with good retention, and doesn't snag on everything like the full size Lionspy's clip. I find the size to be great for EDC, though the blade has a bit more belly near the tip than I like, and the blade is a bit thicker than I need. But I...

I strongly prefer folders to fixed blades. I do have quite a few Spyderco fixed blades, and I like them. But they are pretty much collection pieces. I really hate having to mess around with bulky sheathes. Folders have a self-contained elegance and efficiency about them that no fixed blade can match...

Yeah, all my Manix 2s are pretty stiff to unlock. I can't really close them with one finger.

I've never seen a Spyderco at a pawn shop that didn't look like it was dragged behind a truck down a long gravel road. But if I saw one in good shape, for a good price, and knew it was genuine, then why not?

Yeah, my Southard's lock is super easy to unlock, and my tip seems to be tucked in far enough to avoid getting cut.
