Re: DMT coarse or extra coarse?

Thanks guys, I went ahead and ordered a DMT extra coarse. I'm planning to set my bevels with the DMT and then moving to the Sharpmaker brown rods. Will that be ok or should I get something else between the DMT and brown SM rods?

DMT coarse or extra coarse?

I need a new diamond sharpener for some re-profiling work and was wondering if the DMT coarse is enough or to go for the extra coarse? I'll be sharpening steels like M4, Maxamet, K390, S110V etc.

Re: “MADE IN USA”

Good to see Spyderco once again stepping up to protect the health of minority groups. Freak shows and circuses wouldn't be the same without their sword and knife swallowers :p :D

p.s. I challenge anyone to swallow my 204p Military without giving themselves a Colombian necktie....

Re: K2 Question

If you want the knife, buy it. Lock stick might be an issue in the beginning but for most folks it disappears after a break in period.

Re: Paramilitary 2 Sprint Run... CPM20CV please!

I started this thread asking for a red PM2 with CPM20CV, and later DLT dropped their red M390 exclusive. I passed on it because I already have 2 blue BBS PM2s; now that I've seen many glamour and user photos of the DLT red I've been regretting passing on one. Argh! A bit silly to be lusting after a...

Re: Final Four

I was thinking along these lines last week and I'm pretty sure I could survive with just my k390 Urban and s110v PM2. My four would be

1. k390 Urban
2. Paramilitary 2 s110v
3. MIlitary 204p
4. Southfork (my only fixed Spydie :p )

Re: S35VN Vs Maxamet on a Para 3, share your thoughts

Hi Mzen and welcome to the forum Comparing s35vn and maxamet is a bit like comparing apples and oranges, s35vn is a stainless steel and Maxamet is a tool steel (liable to rust if not looked after). Maxamet was developed to be a very tough steel to be used in steel foundries to roll steel whereas s35...

I don't know much about it but I signed up last night. Seems like it will be a platform similar to Instagram however they won't be allowing ads and recommended followers etc. Instead users will have to pay a small fee to use the app but if you're one of the first 1 million to sign up then you get it...

Re: Spyderco Para3 vs Paramilitary 2?

They are both great knives but the clip is an issue for me on the Para 3 so the PM2 wins for me. With the current restrictions being enforced in Canada I'd say you should just bite the bullet and buy both. If you end up liking both then you win, if you end up having to sell one then you win again as...
