You should maybe look at the Manix 2. No compression lock but the ball bearing lock works very well.

Stop screwing around with the Lansky, spend a little extra and get the Spyderco Sharpmaker, take the guess work out of it and the failed attempts you will have ultimately have.

I believe Spyderco has the finest serrations ever made. I do not care of serrated blades and I only buy plain blades. In the early 90's I owned serrated Enduras.

The best lubes I've used on pivots would be white lithium grease and molybdenum grease. Nothing works better or lasts longer. Oils do not last on the pivots as well as grease.
