Re: Calypso Jr Sprint Run Considerations

I personally don’t want ANY changes made to it. Keep the sharpening notch, no jimping or any other thing that would make it a cousin vs a sibling to all the others.

Re: Calypso Jr Sprint Run Considerations

Should be Sal, I’m pretty sure it is. Unless of course you want to add another to the lineup!

Re: Spyderco 2024 Lists: Delivered & Upcoming

No denying you did!! Just more of a grrr that my favorite vendor’s price was $299.99! The funny thing is that I actually didn’t buy my CC 087 because I thought it was too expensive (or at least my wife certainly did). Brancron bought it, sent it off to be rock-patterned (plus adding a small lockbar ...

Re: Spyderco 2024 Lists: Delivered & Upcoming

I purchased my original Slysz Bowie Folder (C186TIP) with CTS-XHP Blade and Titanium Handle in September 2014 for $279.95 from Cutlery Shoppe. So, I paid 44% off MSRP of $499.95. Nice, I purchased mine in 2018 and by then it had gone up to $299.99 The original price at NGK in September 2014 was $29...

Re: Spyderco Southard

could you elaborate on the materials used on those? they're gorgeous! Sure! They’re all approaching a decade old now (hard to believe) and all three scales were made by Steve Ketchen who was probably the most phenomenal custom scale maker in the US - until he flaked out and made off with a few doze...

Re: Calypso Jr Sprint Run Considerations

Big fan of this model (I have them all) and I certainly would love to see another sprint run. Here’s the link to a thread about the most recent Super Blue version. https://forum.spyderco.com/viewtopic.php?f=2&t=82800 There was discussion about the lockbar and blade not lining up correctly on lot...

Re: Frankenstein titanium UKPK?

Hi, not sure why you found it odd that the washers came in a little baggie outside the scale box. TiTech only makes the scales, and washers are bought in bulk for pennies each. As for why they’re needed, all UKPKs use some form of washers. The stock G10 and Ti ones use the same PB washers as what HH...

Re: Military 2 Discussion (Merged)

Another set of Sharp Dressed Knives scales reporting in, these are copper marbled CF. The clip is a Lynch left-handed Para 3 clip, which I think works great for the Military 2, gets rid of that bit of hump that sticks out using their standard PM2 clip. This is definitely one of the nicest custom Spy...

I read and reread this thread. While I’m not the sharpest kni…. Well you know. However I fail to see what irritated you. If that’s the way you feel…. Uh… bye? 🤷
Not particular to this thread, just years in the making. I’m sure it’s just me, please carry on with the main topic of discussion.

Yes, they’re the same size. I get mine from BladesWeLove, tubes and plugs — they all work great.

So, it’s one of the earliest but also the most recent - makes complete sense.

No offense Nick but it’s your answers like that that make me not want to post in this forum anymore.

Re: Autism awareness knife?

There was a version of the NLEOMF Delica a decade ago (not “most recently”) with a blue FRN handle and their logo etched on the blade, just FYI.

Re: Knifejoy Exclusive...Slysz Bowie??!!

Yeah no — the MAP price is 449.95, making the MSRP $600 or north of that (whichever MAP % you want to use).
