Is it just me, I find this lightweight Manix closes with a much louder CLACK compared to the regular Manix, especially at the point when the blade is fully closed. The spring seems to be tighter too

Thank you for your reply Doug, the S110V lightweight Manix will be the first FRCP knife I carry myself.

Pardon my ignorance, can someone educate me what is the relative advantage of using FRCP (what is this actually?) rather than FRN? Thanks.

Hello all, may I know what is the normal delivery time for the mule handles? I ordered several pieces on the 2nd and have only received a receipt of the order. Sorry if this had been covered already, I come to this thread late. Thanks.

+1. I can't see the jimping from the photos.

Still, a self-defence knife in H1! Is that a first?

Hello Kristi, while we are at this thread, is it possible for you or some other person to explain the advantages of using this new composite as opposed to pure S90V. Thanks.

Although I am also interested in this knife a quantity this low would almost ensure that the price is not cheap. I have not even started thinking about the secondary market prices. Oh well.

The only considerations that are holding my purchase are related to the ease of sharpening/reprofiling this knife:

(1) How hard is it to sharpen the Tuff? I only have the Sharpmaker.
(2) The OP reprofiled his knife. Can this be done with the Sharpmaker?

Thanks!

Opinions on the Tuff requested

Hello all, I am thinking of buying a Tuff (partly to try out the 3V steel) and would welcome the opinions from brothers who have experience with this knife. In particular, I would also your observations on the following: (1) Some people had complained that the knife is difficult to open. Is this tru...

Nice video, nice knife!

BT-Blades, is the carbon fiber handle flat? From the video it seems the handle is very slightly contoured (which is a plus to me).

Between this knife and the fluted titanium native, which do you like more, and why?

Thanks.

These knives prompt me to ask a question: since VG-10 is stainless and is already used in a number of models why don't Spyderco use it in kitchen knives? Presumably Spyderco has some cost advantage in using this steel, no? On the other hand what benefits does MBS-26 offer? I know very little about t...

I do have something similar to a Sharpmaker, but changed the base and added all kind of angles (10, 15, 20, etc...) so 30 degrees is as easy (or as bad) as 20 for the touch-up.
How do you do that? Thanks.
